Card for a Cause

Reposted: This card was published in the October issue of Cards, pg. 164-165.You may remember, way back in this post I told you about Joanne's Blog Candy to raise money for breast cancer awareness. Well, she had asked me to make a "pink card" for her to add to the enormous and wonderful pile of goodies that she was collecting and would be giving away. Here it is. I hope that it's worthy! :)
I used Bazzill Bling for all CS layers except for the Basic Black and the transparency. It's a lot more shimmery IRL. The top of the card was "pieced", by cutting 1/4 in strips of light and dark pink CS on a 45 degree angle, and adhering them down on the white CS. The transparency was stamped with Heidi Swapp Snap Stamps ("believe") and Autumn Leaves v.2 (flourishes) in White and Black Stazon.
The main image was made from a QuicKutz die and Marvy punches. The "pink ribbon" was made with two "ribbons" cut and stacked using Dimensionals. The white scallop is dimensional, as well. The bling was found at the $1 Store.
I feel so honored to participate in this cause. It is something that is near and dear to my heart, as my Grandmother passed away due to breast cancer. Please make sure that you go and check out Joanne's blog to learn what you can do to help.
Have a Happy Monday, and Joanne - it's on it's way! (Went out on Saturday.)
