Miss You
I edited this post because I retook and replaced the pic. I think I like it better with the white bkgd. :)
I was part of a QuicKutz club at my LSS, and one of the monthly projects last month was to create a scrapbook page with this Imaginisce paper and the new Revolution dies (that I am TOTALLY going to buy as soon as they restock! --- Did you know that you can use Revolution/QuicKutz standard dies in your Cuttlebug??? And if you don't have one of THOSE...well, you should be getting in your car right now to get one, instead of reading THIS!!! :)). Well, I have a little boy, and I don't really scrap about myself, so I'd much rather use this paper and flower for a card! I ended up making two of them from that page kit. Both are 5 1/4 in. square cards. I like making those once in a while. Mix it up a bit, you know!
Well, there's not very much stamping on this (or the other one that you'll see tomorrow), but I really like how it turned out. Most of my cards end up so bizzy (not that I don't love all of the "shtuff"), but it's nice to do something a bit "clean-er" here and there, too. I hope you like it!

Fine Print...
PP - Imaginisce; CS - Bazzill, SU! BB; Stamp - Papertrey (Papertray); QuicKutz Revolution die; Bazzill Brads; Tool Kit; Michael's ribbon
If you click on the card and open it up on your browser, you can see the texture of the paper.
ReplyDeleteYou know, I disagree with you. I do not think your cards are busy, but very tasteful with a lot of clean lines and crisp colors. That is actually why I read your blog (Mimi's too) because I prefer the clean style to fru-fru.

How did you cut the zig zag center circle is that the revoltion die? and if so whats the dies name? I like the card simple is always sweet.
ReplyDeleteJust adorable! I love it!
ReplyDeleteWow! I really like it! I didn't know you could use the revolution dies in the cuttlebug. TFS I'll have to check out my local store for these. I really enjoy your blog. Dottie K
ReplyDeleteThis is awesome! I love the bright colors and how you used the small flower pattern as the center for the large flower. I can't wait to see tomorrow's.

Beautiful! I love the combination of those papers with that big flower!
ReplyDeleteI'm feeling so smart right now. I was just at my lss yesterday and got some of this same paper (isn't it so yummy!) you made a fab card, and now I have some great inspiration to get me started
ReplyDeleteThis is darling! I love the big flower and the papers and ribbon are super cute and a great combination. I agree with Heather--your cards have a lot of interest without being busy or chunky and impossible to slide into an envelope. They're just right!
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to pop in and say that I linked this card on my blog - when I saw it I thought - "I can make that big flower with my circle punch!" so I had to try it out. Made sure to let the world know that you inspired me...I loved your card! Thanks for sharing your shtuff with us!
