Some Women Complain about PMS...

This is another one of those Elzybells images that I found tucked away, all colored and matching this Urban Prairie PP, so I thought that I'd use it on a card! I also thought that she would go well with this sentiment that I picked up at StampFest, from Repeat Impressions. I love it - it makes me giggle! LOL

I used PTI's Polka Dot Basics for the bkgd, cut the main layers out with Nesties, and finished it off with American Crafts ribbon. The image was colored with Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol.

Now I'm off because I have a little guy that is getting quite bored with my being on the computer! Till later!

Featured Stamper - SpeedyStamper

Man, I'm on a role with these challenges! This one is a Featured Stamper Challenge, and this week's lucky girl is SpeedyStamper. My card is based off of this one that I found in her gallery. It's a loose interpretation of it, but the main image and ribbon are in the same place. :) I had to use some more of my Urban Prairie PP, and I just happened to find this little Elzybells image that I had colored forever ago, and it matched perfectly!! I love when that happens! LOL

This picture got a little washed out somehow, but the ink for the sentiment is PTI's new color Ocean Tides (love this color!). The sentiment is from LAD's new set, Circle Sentiments. Ribbon is PTI, and button and PP is Basic Gray. The image is colored with Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol.

Now I have to run. Lots to do before Wyatt wakes up from his nappie! :)

Saturday Sketch Challenge!

This is my card for Lauren's SSC for this week. Did I mention that I heart this Urban Prairie PP very much!? Love this one with the little bees here and there across the paper. I needed to use the Honey Bee set, from PTI, with this paper and this sketch. I like how it turned out. :)

I also used PTI ribbon and BG buttons with this. I adore these colors! I'm so drawn to soft blues, olive greens, and teals all the time! The sentiment is stamped with White Craft (SU!), and it's from the Honey Bees Sentiments set.

And now I'm off. I'm not feeling that well, and feel like just closing my eyes. Make sure that you check out these links, for their take on the sketch...

Hello Friend!

Better late than never, right! I finished this card much earlier today, but I had to charge my camera battery, so that brings us to now! I just got my Basic Gray order from eP today, and I had to make a card. I LOVE this Urban Prairie PP!!! I needed to make something with it, and the Bellas were calling my name! This is also my card for this week's SCS sketch challenge (199).

I paper pieced my little chica, and colored the rest of her with Copics. The bird punch is from MSL. I also used my SU! punches, BG buttons, and Bella BonBons. The sentiment is from PTI's Birds of a Feather set. (Got my PTI box today, too! :))

And now I sign off. I'm going to go ahead and write tomorrow's SSC post, so I don't have to worry about it tomorrow morning. Have a good evening, and I'll see you back here then! :)

To Be Continued...

Will be back with a card later today...

Featured Stamper - Ink-E

So, since my mojo had gone a'walkin', I thought that I'd peruse the challenge scene, since it's been a while since I had partaken on a SCS challenge. I must say that I've missed them! It was so nice to have a large chunk of the "thinking" part of stamping done for me (though that didn't help me much with Saturday's sketch card...)!

Sunday's challenge was a Featured Stamper challenge, featuring Ink-E (geesh, that sentence seems redundant!). I loved the simplicity of this card, that I found in her gallery, so I chose it. That's what my brain needed this weekend - clean and simple! LOL I kept the layout pretty much the same, but changed the stamps and PPs.

I used Lizzie Anne stamps and papers (you can find them here) and SU! punches. Here's the rest of the deets...

Stamps: Circle Sentiments, Party Animals
Paper: LAD, PTISS, Olive
Ink: Olive, Palette Noir
Accessories: Piercing pack, SU! punches

This card was also made for my friend Kim's birthday (which is today!), so Happy Birthday, Kimmie!!! :)

Till later!

Just a Reminder...

This is the project that I had in mind all day for Celebrate MFT day and the TLC challenge to use Twinkling H2Os and pink. Well, I finally finished it an hour or so ago (it's 1am), and I figured that I might as well post it before I go to bed! I used Shimmerz paint, though, instead of H2Os - as I don't have those.

The card is a 4 1/4 square made with Nesties, May Arts ribbon, Copics, and SU! PP. I took a close up of the shimmery Shimmerz paint... Below is the little treat container that I made to go with the card. I used my JustRite Stamper (that I had to have) for the first time since I got it a month or two ago! I must say that it's pretty time consuming to set it up, but I loved it after it was! Perfect every time! The ribbon stamp and images from the card is from MFT's Think Pink set and the image on the lid is from PTI's Spooky Sweets II.
I particularly like the sentiment. :) Makes the task sound not quite so ominous, kwim?!
Here is a pic of the whole set. The M&M's are for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, as well. Oh, and that paper is Rose Red, not the weird Ruby it looks like!

K - I'm off to bed! I'll have something else for you tomorrow! Till then...

Happy 29th AGAIN!

This card was made a while ago, and I totally forgot to post it! GASP! I hate when I do that! I had been skimming over it for days, while browsing for a picture to post, thinking it was already up here! LOL

Anywho, when Alma (The Cat's Pajamas Boss Lady) posted these birthday sets that she recently released, I knew that I had to have them. Actually, I knew before that, from all of her DT girls doing their job and enabling me! LOL I just love these penguins. They're so adorable!

Well, this card uses some Cosmo Cricket paper and PTI ribbon, as well as a load of Stickles and a few Dew Drops. I don't know if I still would have put that sentiment on the bottom, but I still think it's pretty cute. :)

I'm busy pretending that there isn't a totally awesome cruise going on right now, how about you? Elbow rubbing, fun in the sun having, free stamp getting, bla, bla, bla... Who needs it??? (So wish I was there!!! LOL)

Oh well! Back to reality! Tomorrow will probably bring a LAD gift set, so see you then!

Happiness Is...

Second post of the day - can you believe it!? So, I'm working out the kinks... I'm not completely sure how I feel about this card, but I wanted to post it anyways, since it's another SSC card. I thought that I would take another stab at it. What do you think?

The stamps are from MFT's Window Shopping set. I love paper piecing those shoes!

I've already pre-wrote my post for tomorrow, so you're SURE to get one! I'll see you then!

Build a Bauble - Paper Pieced

This is a 3.25x6.5 card that I made with the new Lizzie Anne Build a Bauble. I just punched out the circles (from LAD's new paper), stamped the black hookie thing, stamped the sentiment, and added ribbon! Voila! How easy would THESE be to reproduce a million of?!

Now I'm off to get some coffee and try and sneak into my stamp room. (Shh, don't tell the hubby who wants me to "help Wyatt" organize his play room...) ;)

Oh, and my Hubby also was able to find me a photo box light at Home Depot! Yeah!!! No more lame lighting like above picture! LOL

Yo - Where My Mojo???

As promised, here is my card for this week's Saturday Sketch Challenge. So, with this card as simple as it is, I won't tell you how long it took me to come up with it... And I even had a sketch!

I won't lie. It's been a while since I've been in my stamp room, so you can imagine that my mojo has gone out to lunch. But I anticipate it's return any day now, so never fear! ;)

This card was made with Lizzie Anne stamps - Superhero Single and Out of this World (for the blue star trail). I colored the little guy with Copics and cut him out. The embossing was done with Nesties, and the star punch is from SU!. The button is Creative Cafe and the stitching was done with Doodlebug rub-ons.

Here's the rest of the sketch team...

Now off I run to try and get more things done! Have a great night!

Halloween Wishes

Holy cow! I can't believe that it's been a full week since I've last posted. That might be the longest ever! Sorry. Needed a brief siesta. I've not been feeling uber stampy lately, but I'm hoping to get back into my room today to change that! Blame it on beading and Facebook. ;)

This card started out as my card for this challenge, but it didn't get done in time, and I couldn't make it work with the three elements on the side. But that is where I got my inspiration, and the PP placement is the same.

This is Trickortreatabella, and you can find her here. I colored her with Copics and added some yellow Stickles to the pumpkin. The PP is from K&Company. Ribbon is from May Arts and SU! The bat punch is from a MSL punch. The sentiment is from PTI.

And now I'm off for the day. I'll be back soon, though. I DO have stuff to share, I just haven't been able to get good pix since my light bulb burnt out on one of my light box lights, so I'm a bit discouraged with that, but I'll make it work.

Have a good one and I'll TTYL!

Boo to You!

Quick post for the day! This is a card that I made with the Lizzie Anne set, Spooked. I like the colors in this card!

I colored on the stamp with SU! markers before I stamped the image. I also sponged the edge of the main image with some Distress ink. The PP is from Imaginisce. Other things used were my Threading Water Punch, Nestie dies, Bella Dots, and PTI ribbon.

And now I'm off! Have a wonderful day!

It's Release Day!

Two posts for today - scroll down! :) Man, I can't wait till I get that new bulb for my light box light!

Anywho, this is a card made with the new LAD set, Build a Bauble, and a set from the last release, Rockin' Holiday! Well, GUESS WHAT??? Both sets are AVAILABLE NOW! That's right, all of the sets and the new paper are now up for grabs! You can find them HERE.

What's even better? The sets used to make this card are ALSO ON SALE! For TODAY ONLY, these and all of the sets on THIS PAGE will be 20% off for WCMD (World Card Making Day)!!! That makes shopping for Christmas sets a whole lot more fun, doesn't it!? :)

This special page, Santa's Card Making Workshop, also has several different Christmas card ideas, complete with directions and supply lists for your card making mojo! All of the deets for this card are there, as well.

There is a lot of Stickles on that image, if you can't see it. I used the new Pretty Paper, Winter Wonderland, as my color inspiration. Don't you just love those mittens and hats?!

And because I have SO much time on my hands, I decided to start another blog - Confessions of a Naptime Crafter. :) This will be the new place for all of my beading and quilting adventures, among other things! I'll just be displaying non-stamping things that I've made - mostly for my personal benefit. I like to have things "chronicled", so that I will better be able to give them away! :) Hey, it worked for cards! LOL I also figured that not everyone that reads this blog wants to hear about that stuff, so I put it in a different place, since Blogger doesn't allow separate pages.

The link will be on my sidebar, so feel free to check it out! I've only one post, so far, but I've more to post. It will be very low key and randomly updated. No fancy header and all of that! :) Just kind of like a diary, you know! This one will remain the main blog, as stamping is my main love! Just thought I'd let you know!

And now I'm off! Have a great day!

Kirsten

Happy WCMD!

This is another card that I made for MFT's newly released stamp set, Window Shopping! I love that set! This is also my card for Lauren's SSC, found here. I thought that this set was perfect for the sketch! I loved paper piecing these boots, too!

So, I'm not going to blather on and on. It's late Friday night when I'm posting this and I've got another post to write! The card is pretty self-explanatory, but email me if you've got questions. The PP is Cosmo Cricket. :)

Check out these girls for more sketchy inspiration...

Lizzie Anne Sneak Peek - Day Three

This is a clean and simple card featuring Circle Sentiments - one of the new sets to be released TOMORROW from Lizzie Anne! I also used LAD's new Pretty Papers for this. These papers are from the French Floral pack.

This set is a MUST HAVE. It is build-able, so you can bet that it's lots of fun to design with. The sketch is one of Beate's recent sketches.

The card's very straight forward, so I'll skip the bla, bla, bla, since it's way late, and I need to get to bed.

Remember that tomorrow is World Card Making Day AND the day of the release. I'll be featuring a card from the new Build a Bauble set AND an MFT card featuring one of their new sets, for Lauren's SSC, so I'll see you back here then!

Warm Wishes (Second Post of the Day!)

So, did you all get your MFT fix last night? If not, the new sets are available NOW! Go check them out here! (You can also order them separately, but that's too many links! :))

This set is, I think, my favorite of this release. It's called A Scarf for Three. It's one of the three new Stephanie Fizer sets, from the MFT Presents line. Isn't that image adorable!? I SO love snowmen!!! They (and penguins) make me happy! :)

This sketch is this week's MFTSC50, and it was PERFECT for this card! I also used one of my beading dangles on the ribbon! Wohoo!

I used my MSL snowflake punch (available now at WALMART!!) for this, as well as a Bella Bauble, PTI ribbon, and Imaginisce PP. I used my Nestie for the sentiment and Copics markers to color.

Well, that's about it for today! Come back tomorrow for another LAD sneak peek! TTFN!

Lizzie Anne Sneak Peek - Day Two

Meet Party Animals! This is one of my favorite sets from the upcoming LAD release. I love the cutie little animals! (Remember, the release is this Saturday!) I used my new Sultry Basic Gray paper for this card, and I have to say that I think it's my new favorite, too!

I'm going to keep this short and sweet, because I have tons to do today. Stay tuned, though, because I will have another post coming up shortly. Today is another double post day!

Here's the rest of the deets... The button is from Creative Cafe. The ribbon is SU! Flower punches are from MSL, and the leaves are pieces of M's bridal flowers. (Got that idea from Lauren Meader.) I just colored them green with Copics. I also used scallop scissors and my Cuttlebug.

Till later (which will be very soon!)... :)

Lizzie Anne Sneak Peek - Day One

This is a TWOFER day! Yes, that's right folks - two posts in one day, so make sure that you scroll down for my first post of the day! In FACT, I'll have TWO post tomorrow and Saturday, TOO!!! Don't get too used to it though, as it's Lizzie Anne's release week - so I'm doing double duty! LOL

Now back to business... HOW CUTE are these papers??? I'm in love with this one, especially! It is part of Lizzie Anne's new paper pack, called Winter Wonderland! Yes, that's right - LAD will be releasing their new line up of stamp sets, along with their NEW PAPER PACKS, this Saturday - also it just so happens to be National Card Making Day! ;) The other pack is called, French Floral, and it's just as pretty.

I used LAD's sentiment Many Merries for the snowflake's background, and used the MSL punch for the flakes. Buttons are SU!, as is the ribbon. Scallop scissors were also used.

ETA: I forgot to mention that I used Lizzie Anne's Sketch Challenge 43 for this card! That's what I get for speeding though my post! :)

Now, you should go clicking down the LAD DT link list on my sidebar for some more peeks of the new Pretty Papers! But make sure you find you way back here tomorrow, because I'll be previewing a new SET that you won't be able to resist!

See you then!

xox,
Kirsten

MFTeaser: Window Shopping

This is another one of the new MFT sets, Window Shopping! A great one for some cute paper piecing, don't you think!? I used my Cosmo Cricket PP again - I love that stuff! :)

This is going to be a quick post - sorry! I know how much you all love to hear me blather on and on, but I have time constraints. ;)

Here's the deets...
CS - PTI, PP - Cosmo Cricket, Copics, Fiscars Threading Water Punch, Ribbon - PTI, Piercing Template, Ink - Momento Tuxedo Black and SU! True Thyme

I'll be back later for a TWOFER! Can you believe TWO posts in ONE day!? Wow - I'm going to spoil you! (J/K) ;)

Later Gator!

xox,
k

PS See my last post for deets on TONIGHT'S PARTY! I hope to see you there!!!
