Miss You - Hanna Style

This is a sneak peek of one of the new Hanna Stamps' sets, Passport. The set will be available this Friday, the 4th, along with another set called Tool Time. I don't have that set yet to show you a sample, but I hope to be getting it very soon!

This set has the cutest accessory stamps to go along with Miss Hanna! For this one, I just used the taxi, but there's also a camera, two sets of sunglasses, waves, a passport (of course!), palm tree, sun, sentiment "Don't forget. Get your passport STAMPED!", the Eiffle Tower, and the Hollywood sign! That's a lot of goodies in one set! Lots of mix and match opportunities.

The PP that I used started out as plain black and white, but I wanted to jazz it up a bit, so I used my Copics and whimsically colored the flowers. It just added that extra color that the card needed!

The sentiment is from PTI, as well as the dashes in the road (Mixed Messages and Faux Ribbon). I outlined the words with my B00 marker to give it both a shadow and some color. Both images are also colored with the Copics.

Well, that's it for this post. Tomorrow will bring another MFTeaser, so I'll see you then!

xox,

MFTeaser: Happy Mother's Day

Isn't this image just pretty? I think it's a perfect Mother's Day kind of image. Mother's Day always makes me sad, and I usually shy away from sets geared towards that holiday, thinking that I've no one to make anything for anymore, but then I have to remind myself that there are PLENTY of mothers in my life, and I'm so grateful that they are. This card is for them.

Sorry for that, but it's late and this is an emotional subject for me. Now back to the card...

This sketch came from Cindy's MFTSC24, over on the MFT forum on SCS. She creates a great sketch every week - check them out if you haven't already! You're going to be seeing more of this PP (Doodlebug line) in the next few days, since I've recently REdiscovered it in my stash, and REfell in love with the colors in it! :)

I'm going to keep this post brief, and may edit in the am, but for now, I'll just leave you with the card and some Fine Print. This great mini MFT set, Happy Mother's Day, will be available on Wednesday night for purchase HERE, along with another adorable set and some more digital paper! :)

I'll be back later (Monday) with a sneaky peek of a new Hanna Stamps set, that you won't want to miss! Till then...

Where Did You Spend Your Afternoon?

Okay, so I didn't get all inky, but instead played around with some pix that I took today. If you're just interested in things stampy, then keep scrolling for today's card...Where can you get out of the house and NOT give someone else pink eye? Well, the BEACH, of course! Not a lot of person to person contact there - thank goodness! :)

What a wonderful day we had today! I spent the afternoon with one of the two men that I love the most in this world! Wyatt and I had a "Mommy and Wyatt Day of Fun", and we loved it! When nap is over, I think we'll make some cupcakes (yellow butter cake with chocolate whipped frosting - hmmm, don't get much better than that for me!), have dinner, and watch a movie with popcorn. I'm thinking Bambi. He's not seen that one yet.

Take some time to create your own "Days of Fun" with your little ones! You won't regret it! ;)

xox,

Friends Forever

You have to click on the pic to get a good look at this one. The flowers (PTI's Beautiful Blooms) on the bkgd are so much prettier IRL. The centers of them are "Stickled", as well. This is yet another one of the images that Jody sent me - MAN, I love that woman! (In a totally platonic way, of course...NOT that there's anything wrong with that...;)) Jody - expect some happy mail to be coming your way!

Anywho, I used one of my Versamagic Dew Drops for the flowers, because they show up so much better on black than any other ink that I have. I really like this color combo. I can't remember what inspired me with it, but I'm definitely going to have to use it again! Oh, and the sentiment came from Jody as well. They are both Elzybells.

Well, I'm off to get something done. We just got back from the beach, and I showered and put Wyatt to bed for a nap, so I'm feeling like getting a card or two (Two? Who am I kidding?!) done before the monkey wakes up! Have a great afternoon, and I'll be back with a sketch and card soon!

The More Candles...

Morning All! This was a fun couple of cards I made using LAD's Happy Birthday set. I had a lot of fun with this "b" image and this color combo. It's flocked on the first card, and glittered on the second. The first card is my favorite, though.

For the first card, the flocking (Pixie Pink Fun Flock) kind of covered up the negative flower part of the image, so I added my own! That is one of the little flowers (that I got from Monica from Hambo in my recent order - thanks Monica!) from Michaels' bridal bucket - too cute.

For the background, I embossed the black with my Cuttlebug/Swiss Dots folder, and brayered the dots with my white Craft ink pad. The icing part of the cupcakes were stamped and cut out of pink paper, then layered onto the black stamped cupcakes. Scallops were made with my SU! Slit Punch.

Rhinestones are A Muse Twinkle Stickers and the brad is Bazzill.

With this picture, the glitter looks kind of wonky, but much better IRL. I also used a black pen to outline the flower, to make it more obvious. This is a 4 1/4 in. sq. card. The glitter is from Martha Stewart.

Well, that's about it for today! I'll have another Elzybells card for you tomorrow! Till then...

A Little LAD

This is a card that I made, like EONS ago, and haven't gotten around to posting! This was made with the Lizzie Anne Designs set, Happy Birthday. I'm not sure where the PP came from, though. Sorry! It's a tall card, measuring 3 1/4 x 6 1/2. Super easy layout!

Well, that's about it for this post! I'm beat, and my eye is still bugging out! Yuck! Have a good night - I'll be counting the minutes till my next eye drop dose, and PRAYING it doesn't hit my left eye, too!!!

Till tomorrow...

Envelope Cards and Other Stuff

Okay, so it's been like a MILLION years since I posted! Like I said before, I've been so crazed with design team stuff, company, Easter, pub stuff, etc, that I haven't had a second to do anything else! And to top it all off - I've got PINK EYE! Grr...

Anywho, this is a set of cards that I made a couple of weeks ago. I call them my "envelope cards". {Yes, I realize that my "stamp" (no pun intended) is in the wrong place, but I still think they're cute! LOL} They are SO super easy to make - I had to make three!

ETA: These cards had NOTHING to do with these adorable cards I just now saw on Michelle Wooderson's blog while doing some late night blog hopping! Go check them out, though, 'cause they're SUPER cute!!!

I used the Elzybells images that Jody sent me, and some A Muse sentiments. I started with the green one - I was inspired with the envie on the girl's table. I just cut a triangle to fit the top, and sponged the heck out of all the edges! Easy peasy!
Here are the pix of the other two cards. You can click on them to make them bigger.

Let me know if you decide to make one - or three :) - because I'd love to see them!

I also wanted to thank Kelly for nominating me for the You Make My Day award. Kelly - you're so very sweet, and I apologize for not thanking you sooner! Hugs!!! I added the label to the bottom of my sidebar, if you want to see it.

I also was tagged by a few people for the "7 things" tag that has been going around, and I'll get to that one too! Baby steps, know what I'm sayin'! LOL :)

Have a great day, and I'll be back soon with some more stuff for you to see!

xox,

So Sorry!

I know that I've been a majorly SLACKER blogger, but I've been CRAZED! I've been running around like a chicken with my head cut off, and stamping my fingers to the bone with mostly things that I can't show you, and just now have been able to take a breather and announce the big news! Without further ado...

Would ALYSSA come on down!?! :)

Alyssa said...
I really like Tractor Riley and Hammock Riley. Tractor Riley could be paired with some really cute sayings! Thanks for the opportunity! :)
March 21, 2008 8:04 AM

She has some very cute cards posted on her fairly new blog, and I suspect she would welcome some visitors over there, so go check out her stuff! Alyssa, send your home addy on over to my email, and I'll get your stuff mailed out to you!

Thanks for all of your comments! I LOVED hearing all of your faves! It sounds like the Hammock Riley is top on the list, followed closely by Hula Sophie and Bikini Sophie. I love all three of those too! I gotsta get to stampin' with some more of those cuties - PRONTO!

Well, I'll be back with a card in just a sec! See you then!

Happy Easter!

This is one of my favorite projects that I made this Easter! I really was happy with how this little bunny turned out! Problem is... I ate all of the Reese Peanut Butter Eggs, and they were OUT of them at Walmart, so I can't give it to anyone!!! LOL That's what I get for my lack of control! :)
I made a little 4x4x3 box for the "basket" part that holds the eggs. The head was made with the largest solid Spellbinders circle that I have. Ears, arms, and legs were made with SU! Oval punches (small for the arms, large for the ears and legs). The feet were made with the SU! Key Tag Punch, and trimmed to size. I inked all of the white (SU! Natural White) edges with PTI's Aqua Mist, and cut/embossed the little "sign" (Just Hatched, from PTI) with my Spellbinders Oval die.

The eyes are SU! buttons, and the bling came from the $1 Store. The little nose was made with PTI's Green Thumb's little stem - criss crossed. The ears were stamped with PTI's Beautiful Blooms' little leaf.

The "handle" was stamped with PTI's Faux Ribbon in Versamagic Pixie Dust, and adhered with tiny heart brads that I got from my friend Mimi. And lastly, the ribbon is from SU!

I hope that you all have a wonderful and blessed Easter with your friends and family! I know that we will! We'll have two Easter Egg Hunts, which also makes for the BEST pictures, and tons of good food - can't beat that with a stick! :)

Like this Set???

Want to win it? Details to follow later today...

I've got a couple of other Hanna cards on the way, but I'll start with this one. This set is called Getting Physical. The layout is simple, but I had fun playing with all of the colors and embellies! The little striped circle is a piece of PP that I punched with my 3/4 in. circle punch, and covered with a Page Pebble.

Now, we're off to hop on down to the mall to see the Easter Bunny! Have a great day, and remember to stop back by this afternoon/evening for deets on the Naptime Nuggets!

February Cards

I'm without my camera for the time being, so I can't show you the Hanna stuff that I've been working on! Grr. So, I thought that in lieu of showing you my last Easter project today, I will show you a couple of cards that were pubbed in the Feb. issue of Cards, that I'm not sure I showed you before?!

This Pretty Princess card was shown on pg.71.

Fine Print...Cardstock - Bazzill Bling and Papertrey Ink; Stamps - My Favorite Things (Princess Birthday); Ink - Black Stazon, Brilliance Graphite, Pixie Dust Versamagic Dew Drop; Sakura Silver and Clear Stardust Pens; Copic Markers; Martha Stewart ribbon; Heidi Swapp Ghost Stars; Stampin' Up! Silver Cord; EK Corner Rounder

This Birds of a Feather card was shown on pg. 116.

Fine Print...Stamps - Lizzie Anne (L'Amour); Copic Markers; AC ribbon; Heidi Swapp Slide Clips; PP - AC; Bazzill Brads; Ink - Brilliance Graphite and Black Stazon; Sakura Stardust Pen; CS - SU!, PTI, and Bazzill Bling

Well, that's about it. I do want to mention a helpful hint, though, for those of you who are new to the blogging world, that in general, a word in a post or on a sidebar that is in a different color is a link. On THIS blog, all type that is in ORANGE is a link to the indicated website. I try to link the stamp companies used on a card in each post, as this makes finding products SO much easier for you guys! So just click the link! If I forget, just email me OR look on my sidebar for Sites View Worthy. Most companies I use are listed there!

Now, I'm off, but I will "see" you soon with a card, as soon as I can get my camera back!

Just Hatched Peeps Box

This project is my other "Honorable Mention" entry from this month's PTI Guest Star Stamper contest. Sorry for the change in backgrounds in the two pictures, but I had a hard time photographing the box d/t the glare off the transparency lid. I had to keep taking shots, but these are the two best ones! The first pic shows the box as it would be presented, and the second shows the front and the belly band.

I don't have a pattern for this, but I can tell you that it measures roughly 7 1/2 x 2 1/2 x 1 1/2. The top opens at the front, with flaps on both sides and the front. It's adhered at the back with Sticky Strip.

I stamped the Celery part of the box with a stamp from Everyday Blessings in Celery ink. The belly band is Turquoise, and is scored at 1/2 in. intervals for more interest. Ribbon is May Arts and SU!. (I love how well that purple matches the Peeps! They are a perfect Orchid Opulence! LOL) I also used my Spellbinders and $1 Store rhinestones.

This was fun to make, once I figured out the pattern! LOL But isn't that always the case!? Once you know what you want to do, the fun begins! I hope that you like it, and try one for yourself! If you do, make sure to link it here!

Tomorrow should bring a Hanna card from the latest release and some NAPTIME NUGGETS! This blog has surpassed 200,000 hits and this is my 400th post, so I think it's cause to celebrate!!! You won't want to miss it! Y'all like stamps, right?!? ;)

Happy Day!!!

Did you see Nichole's post today??? OMGoodness! Two Honorable Mentions!!! I was SO bouncin' this morning when I got Nichole's email! I just LOVED this Blackboard Egg Box project (I'll show you more on the Peep Box later in the week!)! I had SO MUCH fun with it!

I was lying on the couch trying to figure out how I can make this a fun and interactive gift for my little guy with the egg shaped chalk (that I found at Walmart), when I had a light bulb moment, shot straight up, and told Wyatt we had to get to Home Depot! Mama needed some Blackboard paint! LOL :) I spray painted the whole box with it, but I wanted to pretty it up a bit, so I made this removeable "cozy" with several PTI stamp sets, and added the (could be) removeable topper to the lid. I tried to use the chalk colors for the color inspiration, and I wanted to make the sleeve look a bit "outdoorsy", so I used Green Thumb, Spiral Bouquet, Limitless Labels, and Little Lady, along with Butterfly Kisses and Just Hatched.
For colors, I used SU!'s Cameo, Ruby, and Blush, Papertrey's Aqua Mist, Spring Moss, Palette Noir, and Versamagic Purple Hydrangea. I also used my Spellbinders dies, Robin's Nest Dew Drops, MSL ribbon, and Bazzill Brads.

I think that Wyatt is going to love this. He'll be able to draw and erase till his heart's content, and also have a place to keep his chalks! (I'm going to stock up on more of them when I go back to the store! LOL)
I know that this was a long post, but I thank you for reading this far (since obviously you did! LOL), and I hope that you'll come back tomorrow to check in on me! :) Hugs and have a great day! I know that I will!!! :)

Run Now...

to check out the new Hanna sets that were just released last night!!! I haven't even BEGUN to play with these like I'd like to, but as soon as the weekend's over I will. It's been a crazy week, and we'll be in Orlando at a wedding all weekend. Make sure that you check out all of the other DT members' blogs (links on my sidebar), though, for more projects and ideas with these 5 new sets!!!

THIS card, however, I made a WHILE ago with my recent PTI purchase items...

I couldn't leave you without ANYTHING to look at for a few days! LOL I'm super excited for the new colors, how about you guys?!

I'd also like to thank Coconutmuffn for nominating me for the You Make My Day Award. That was so nice, and certainly it made MY day, too! :)

Oh, and one more thing... My blog ticker is getting pretty close to the 200,000 mark, and you know what THAT means!? Naptime Nuggets! I haven't figured out all of the details yet, but you won't want to miss it!

Hugs, and I'll be available via my Blackberry for questions! Have a great weekend!

Have a Tail Wagging Day!

Good Morning!

As promised, I'm bringing you a cute little Hanna card today. Tomorrow is the release day, but tonight is the release party over on SCS from 9-11 EST! I'm not sure if I'll be able to make it, because I have to work tonight, but you never know! ;)
Anywho, I reverted back to one of my favorite layouts (first seen at last year's Amusapalooza) for this card, since the little image fits so nicely in a circle. The PP is AC, and ribbon is May Arts. And as usual, I used my Copics and Spellbinders! :) Both sets are Hanna sets - the sentiment is from Things Hanna Would Say.
Now I'm off to do some running! Have a wonderful day!

The Kind of Marriage

"Geez! Get a room!" (on inside of card) LOL Another funny from Hambo! This pic looks a bit hazy for some reason, but you get the drift! I've been working on several things that I can't show you yet, but this one I can. (I've since taking this picture, slipped the ribbon off and flipped it upside down, so that the bow's going the right way! LOL)

I'll skip the how-to bla, bla, bla, since I think it's pretty self-explanatory, but if you have any questions, feel free to email me! Now I'm off to get ready for the day! Hope you have a good one!

Happy Spring!

This row of chicks is another one of the images (from Stampendous) that Jody sent me. I just colored them, added the Twinkle Stickers, and created windows for them! This is also the first time I used my Polka Dot SU! bkgd stamp and Styled Silver HPH. I love them both!

Did I also get the SU! punch box from the catty??? No way, Man! That is a flower punch from EK that I got at my LSS for about $3! Could you tell a difference? Not me. ;)

Well, thanks for stopping in! Tomorrow should bring something good. Not sure what, though! Gotta get stampin'! :)

Best Sentiment Ever

I can't read this Hambo sentiment without snickering to myself. I love it! Monica sure does have a way with words, and her sentiments are TOO funny. The second batch of Hambo Spring new releases are available, and you can check them out on the website. I have that adorable ellie and coordinating sentiment on their way to me - I can't wait!

Anywho, this card is actually Old Olive, but the camera/lighting is making it look a bit wonky. I used my Swiss Dots CB folder again, and my new skinny SU! twill ribbon. I love how totally soft and pliable it is!

I found this stamped and colored raccoon in my tablet of watercolor paper when I was organizing the other day! I thought that it would be cute with this sentiment and these balloons. I LOVE when that happens! :)

Did you notice the scallop edge under the embossed white? I just pieced together a couple of Spellbinder-ed red rectangles, and hid the seam with the brad! Slightly labor intensive, but I like the look! This is a 5 1/4 in. sq. card.

And now I'm off to bed. I should have some sneaky peeks of some new Hannas coming soon. The release date for FIVE new sets is slated for this Friday! I'm working on several things at once, but I'll get them to you shortly. For now, check out the other DTers (link list on my sidebar) for their great ideas!

Till tomorrow...

Elzybell Mail!

Can I TELL you how I excited I was to open an envie I got in the mail the other day to find like THIRTEEN Elzybell images (some stamped a few times!), PLUS several different sentiments!?! OMGoodness!!!

My friend, Jody, sent me the best RAK ever!!! Totally unexpected and totally AWESOME!

I had to immediately make something with them! The above picture is a Easter candy bag (find the bag here) that I made with one of the RAK images and my PTI Beautiful Blooms stamps set. This sentiment is one that I just ordered from A Muse. I cut it like a flag, and adhered it with Mini Glue Dots. I think I got the idea from Julie's blog?

The bag is filled with Peanut M&Ms. Yum!

Ribbon is May Arts (from one of Jody's share) and I also (of course) used Copics and Spellbinders. Now for the card...

I am in LOVE with this image, and I can't believe that I didn't buy this one! (I did actually buy a few of my own, and amazingly, there were hardly any duplicates!) Anyways, I used Amy's sketch for this one. I like how it worked out with the clear/white Heidi Swapp flower.

As you can see, I also used my Swiss Dot CB folder and my Spellbinders, BUT I broke out the Prismacolor Pencils for this image! SHOCKER All paper is SU!, button is Creative Cafe, and ribbon is Making Memories.

Okay, so I think all of the deets is in the post, so I'll skip the "fine print". Have a great Sunday, and don't forget to "spring forward"! Hugs!

Just What I Have Always Wanted

Ok, not really, but for this Hanna, that's probably what SHE'S always wanted! LOL

I made this for the Sketch Challenge, over on SCS (166). I had fun coloring the image, but had to ask my hubby if it looks remotely right! I was a bit intimidated by this stamp at first, because I had NO idea how to color that motorcycle! LOL He said it looked pretty accurate, so I guess I didn't screw it up too bad!!! :)

Well, I have a raging headache, so I'm going to cut the yack short today, again. I hope that you all have a wonderful start to the weekend! I've got something quick and Eastery for you tomorrow! "See" you then!

Don't have time to chat this morning, but here's a little sketch for you to mull over, and hopefully try. Let me know if you do, so that I can go check it out! You can add ked5 to the keywords on SCS, or just comment me the link!
BTW, the Release Party over on SCS last night was a blast for MFT! Make sure that you go over to the website to check out the new sets!!!

Hugs, and hope you like the card! Oh, and the sketch is pretty specific, BUT you certainly DON'T have to add all of the same elements where I did to link the card! Just have fun - it's only for inspiration!!! :)

MFTeaser: Punch a Bunch

This one-layer card may look like it took just 10 minutes, but let me tell you, it did not. I love the springiness of it, though, and had fun playing with all of the embellies and bling, so I'm pretty happy with the results. :)

This is a MFT set that will be released on tonight, called Punch a Bunch. It comes with the scallop oval, several bunches of different flowers, two sets of stems, a smaller doodled oval, and 4 sentiments that can be bent to fit inside the ovals. My favorite stamp in the set, though, definitely has to be the scallop oval you see here. It could be used with SO many other images and sets! AND the most important thing about that scallop oval, is that it was made to fit perfectly in the Marvy Giga Scallop Oval punch!!! I LOVE that!!!

I also tried out my new SU! rub-ons, Love & Happiness, and the matching SAB stamp set, Friendship Blooms. The sentiment in pink is a bit hard to read in this picture, but it says "Your friendship makes my heart happy."

Well, I hope that you like it, and that it gets you in the mood for spring! I ended up spraying on a layer of Glimmer Mist over the whole card, but that was after I took the pic! Adds a nice touch, though! :) Don't forget to hop on over to the MFT Release Cocktail Party, over in the SCS forums, tonight! You won't want to miss it - they're always a blast!

Till tomorrow...

MFTeaser: Ride Em Cowgirl

This is a card made with one of the MFT to-be-released-tomorrow sets, Ride Em Cowgirl. I also used the MFTSC20 sketch, that Cindy Haffner came up with. My color inspiration came from a piece of PP I have, but didn't use. My favorite part of this card is the Cuttlebug Paisley embossing in the bkgd. Have I MENTIONED how much I love my Cuttlebug lately??? :)

Well, that's it for now. I'm off to a MOMS Club meeting, and the start of a busy day. Hope you all have a great one! Oh, and here is some more info you might be interested in about the MFT release...

My Favorite Things is having a New Release Cocktail Party on Wednesday, March 5 from 9-11 p.m. Eastern time. Lots of fun is planned including finding out how YOU can be the next MFT Guest Designer. Head over to the MFT forum on www.splitcoaststampers.com to find out all the details and join us there on Wednesday night.
