Saturday Sketch and a Tattoo!

For some reason, I struggled a bit with this sketch of Lauren's, but overall, I'm happy with the card. I used Lizzie Anne's Love Tattoo for the main image, and I've got to say that I'm loving it even more, now that I'm seeing it in COLOR! I think it's uber cool looking - what do you think?

I used BG's Ambrosia PP again - can you tell it's one of my new faves?! I love the cool colors in it. I can always tell how much I love a PP line when I don't want to put away the matching Copics! LOL (Same is true with Urban Prairie :)). Buttons are BG, too.

Ribbon is SU! and Marvy punches were used for the circles. I used my Scor-Pal for the score lines - in lieu of another piece of CS. I just couldn't get that to work, and I think this image works better with more white space.

So, I guess that's about it! Give some love to the other sketch girls at these links...

Saturday Sketch and New LAD!

I must say that I'm really happy with how this card turned out. I used Lauren's sketch (found here) and combined Lizzie Anne's So Much Love with this Basic Grey (Urban Prairie) PP. I think this might be Dave's Valentine's Day card - we'll have to see...

I colored the birdies with Copics and punched the hearts with my Marvy Mega punch. The main image heart is that linen vellum that PTI carries, so it's a little transparent.

I hope that you like it! Make sure that you check out the other girls at these links...

One Too Many Teacups!

I had to giggle after I uploaded this when I noticed that that the sentiment says "two teacups", and I stamped this stack of three - oh well! LOL I still like the card! :)

This is another card that I made with the new LAD set that is BEING RELEASED TODAY, Tea Time. I just masked the cutie little cups and colored them with my Copics.

All paper is from PTI, and the flower is from CTMH. The button is from Basic Grey and the scallop circle was made with the Marvy Giga punch.

Now, make sure that you run on over to the Lizzie Anne website to check out all of the new sets! I think that I have almost all of them, and I know you'll NEED them too! ;)

TTYL!

Lizzie Anne Sneak Peek: So Much Love

This is a little set that I had fun making the other day, using the FS challenge for this week (JulieHRR) for the card, and altering this little playing card set. The new LAD set (to be released this Friday) is called So Much Love, and it's now one of my favorite V-Day sets - it's SO cute!

I was going to add something else to this card, but everything I tried took away from the clean-ness of it, so I left it alone. It's nice to do a CAS (clean and simple) card once in a while! Here's Julie's card that I CASEd.

I took these pix at night, and even though I have a light box, I still really need the natural light to get really nice pictures. Oh well...
Here's the playing card box. I covered it in some Bazzill paper and black velvet ribbon, and froo-frooed up the top. The flower punch is from EK, and the Dots are from Stamping Bella.

And here's the open box. Hope you likey! Tomorrow, I have another Tea Time card. It will also be release day, so don't forget to check out all of the cutie new sets!
Till then...

I'm in love with this set! It's called Owl for All Seasons, and with all of the cutie combinations of images and sentiments, I know that you'll love it too! :)

I used SCS SC208 for this layout. The PP is from Basic Grey's Urban Prairie, as are the buttons. Ribbon is PTI, and punches are SU!. The tiny flower is from a MSL punch, and the rhinestone is a Twinkle Sticker.

Here's the deets for what's on tap tonight. I just copy/pasted...

Lizzie Anne Sneak Peeks: Knight and Super Girl

Only TWO more days till the LAD release on Friday! Here's a couple more peeks for you...Isn't this little Knight adorable? He works perfect with Once Upon a Time, too! I used my Copics and some Basic Grey PP and buttons, as well as the Nestie Label 1 die for this. Ribbon is from SU!. This layout is one of LAD's more recent layout challenges. This is Super Girl. I've paired her with Out of this World and some Disney PP. The star is from Heidi Swapp, and ribbon is from May Arts.

Hope you like the new "little people"! I believe I have all but one of them that Meridith has created, and I love them! They're just so cute!

Make sure that you stay tuned, because I have more peeks coming up tomorrow! ;)

MFTeaser: Good Knight

Make sure that you keep on scrolling, because I have another peek today for you to check out! :) This cutie new set is an up and coming one from MFT, called Good Knight. It will be released tomorrow evening, along with three other must-have sets. Oh, and in case you're new to the MFT release schedule, tomorrow is also the MFTeaser Blog Hop, so you won't want to miss that, either.

Okay, so back to the card! LOL I used the SCS SC209 for the layout, but made a few changes to it. The images are colored with Copics and certain areas are also colored with Shimmerz, like the shield and the dragon's fire, to give some sparkle.

I masked the dragon before stamping the castle, mostly to save room! LOL The sentiment is one of many in the set - and as usual, they're all cute! PP is from BG and ribbon is from PTI.

That's about it with this one for today. Tomorrow, I'll have a card using the new Stephani Fizer set for the Hop. See you then!

Lizzie Anne Sneak Peek: Tea Time

This is the first of three days of LAD sneak peeks, all culminating to the release on Friday the 9th! This cutie set is called Tea Time. It is a buildable set for tea lovers, and probably coffee lovers alike! I love the images, but the sentiments are too cute, too! I've used two of them for this set.

I couldn't resist creating a little box full of Celestial Seasonings (or is it Seasons? I can't remember! LOL) chamomile tea bags. The box ended up being 3x3x4, and it fits the bags perfectly! It opens at the top.
I used PTI paper and some May Arts ribbon. The background stamp is from LAD's In the Background, and I stamped it in white Craft ink. For the circles, I used my Marvy punches, and used a Cuttlebug tag die for the sentiment.

Below is the matching card. It is a 3x3, and can you believe that that is the first time I've ever made one that size! LOL I used that In the Background stamp again, and I'm so going to use it again soon - I love those overlapping circles!
I used some PTI ribbon and a scallop rectangle Nestie die. The images were colored with Watercolor Crayons...HA! Just KIDDING - I used my Copics, as usual. Did I get cha?!? Huh? Huh? ;)

Well, that's about it! Tomorrow, I'll have another cutie peek for you, so come back soon, ya hear?! :)

I used TCP's cutie cowboy stamps that I LOVE. Those penguins are PERFECT for those little squares. The PP is some older Crate Paper that I had in my stash. Ribbon is from SU!, as are the star punches.

Here's the rest of the SSC girls for you, don't miss them!

Christmas Baskets

I made four of these baskets this year. One for each set of Wyatt's grandparents and one for my dear friend, Mimi (although hers was a slightly different). I'm really happy with how they turned out, and I hope that the recipients were as happy with them.

I picked up these baskets at Michaels, and filled them with my homemade canned applesauce and apple butter, Spice Cake mix, and a plate that was painted by Wyatt and myself. Then I froo-frooed it up with some pretty filler and some organic pine cones and things.I have had this red ribbon for a while and just rediscovered it when I was looking for something festive for these jars. I tied on one of PTI's recipe cards that I gussied up with the Recipe Box stamp set.The plate painting part was an especially fun thing to do with Wyatt. We went to a local place, called Bisque It and painted three of them.

For the labels, I used a MSL apple bunch, PTI's Simple Alphabet and Borders and Corners Circles, and the JustRite Stampers Baking Ensemble. The apple is dimensional.
And one last pic of the goods.
Well, that's about it for now! Have a wonderful weekend! I'll be back tomorrow with a SSC card!

From the Heart Card Set

This is a card set that I made for someone special, using Lauren Meader's All Boxed Up template and one-sheet-wonder template. I needed something that I do without reinventing the wheel, and this idea was perfect!

I used Lizzie Anne's Dreaming of Dots and Circle Sentiments for the whole set. For the front, I also used Basic Grey's buttons and the flower Cuttlebug dies. Ribbon and paper is from PTI.

The inside...

This is the first card, and like Lauren's there is two of each card in the set.

This is the second card. I love that the "happy birthday" sentiment fits perfectly around the scallop punch.
Didn't change much for the third card. Can you see the matching envies?

I changed the fourth one up just a bit.
Well, that's about it! I hope that everyone had a wonderful and safe New Year's Eve! We had a quiet night playing Apples to Apples with good friends.
Till later...
