WHERE'S my Super SUIT?!?
This card REALLY gets me in the mood to watch the Incredibles with my sick little guy! He's caught a yucky bug and has a fever. Poor little Monkey had to miss one of his best bud's 4th birthday party yesterday!
I REALLY wanted to get little Brennan a super suit for his gift, but a dinosaur dig set wrapped in Batman paper will have to do for my super hero theme! I had the whole gift planned out, but couldn't find the suit ANYwhere!
I came up with this "cape" card idea on the way home from LTM, and couldn't wait to execute it! I used my Curvy Cutter from CM for the sides and bottom, and adhered the ribbon on the inside for the neck tie. The images are from Pink Cat Studio's Billy set - OMW so CUTE! I'm loving Billy and Lily to death! (You can enter to win your OWN Billy set here!)
The tag was made to obviously be tied onto the box, and I had Wyatt fill it out in his handwriting. I LOVE that part! The "To" and "From" were stamped with PTI's Simple Alphabet set and the white detail at the top of each card is from PTI's Faux Ribbon set. The sentiment on the card is from A Muse.
Hope you like these - I had a BLAST (no pun intended) making them, and Wyatt was so thrilled he could "help"! :) I'll be back tomorrow with a card that is Bellarific!
xox, Kirsten

OK, this is just SERIOUSLY cute -- so I'm going to torture you with one of my long boring stires (for which I am quite famous in certain circles -- but I digress -- which is why my stories get to be long and boring....) In any event, in late February/early March, I traveled with my cousin to Murmansk Russia (home of the Russian nuclear submarine fleet), where my cousin adopted a darling little 5 year old boy. He was and is ALL BOY! One of my favorite pictures of him is from the hotel -- everything was a weapon, we'd gotten used to that, fortunately my son (age 22) was a Ninja Turtle fan back in the day so I recognized some of the drawing of swords.... anyway our little guy took the shoe horn from the hotel room as his sword -- and tried to tie the hotel room plastic laundry bag around his neck for a cape! I finished the tying for him (so we were safe) and this little guy (age 5) from a Russian orphanage was instantly a superhero! I love your card and I hope to make one just like it for him! thanks so much for sharing this with us! Queen Mary, aka Mary G
ReplyDeleteOMG! He is adorable!! LOVE HIM!!! I especially love how you used the tag to highlight the b-day age. CUTE.
ReplyDeleteSo cute... I would like to reproduce your cape idea and age accent for my little son's cards invitation. He wants a Superhero theme. Do you authorize me? Also, could I know what you used for the emboss numbers ? Thanks!
