My Little Darling...

So I was up way too late last night playing in my scrap room (creating very little, might I add...). This morning, my husband was kind enough to put on a movie for my little "precious" to watch, until his weary mother was able to wake herself enough to get out of bed to tend to the child (about 45 minutes).

This is what I found when I stumbled into the kitchen...

Count them - not 1, or 2, or 3, but FOUR 1/2 gallons of soupy ice cream opened on the floor, PLUS two opened containers of former delicious goodness from McDonalds (or Old McDonalds, if you ask Wyatt). The freezer was also wide open, though not pictured.

When my little wonderful was asked if he ate any of the ice cream, he said, matter-of-factly "Yes. (pause) I ate lots of it. (pause) I ate it with my finger... Like this." (Walking over to attempt to reenact the crime.)

Mommy - "DO NOT TOUCH THAT!!!"

Little Darling - "But I didn't open the spoon, Mommy!"

Note to Self...Get to bed earlier.

  3. It could have been worse... I came in to my quiet stamp room to my 3 year old dumping out acrylic paint on my desk, and inking my stamps with Stazon...

  7. ha ha ha ha ha.... sounds familiar. I have 2 boys who are now 4 & 7. I have been through very similar things with both. During one of my recent sleep in days (big mistake) my 4 year old tried to make his own kool-aid.

  11. I laughed so hard reading this. At least your hubby was awake..but I amazed the ice cream is not all over the floor. Another blogger Faith's son got up in the middle of the night to sneak ice cream & went back to bed. She caught the picture with his face full of chocolate ice cream...I love it when our kids do something so unexpected...Chris

  13. That cracks me up! Reminds me of when my boys were little and one evening I could not find the ice cream. Looked all over the freezer. It disappeared!!! A day or so later I was vacuuming, low and behold, behind a chair in the corner, there is the empty ice cream with 2 spoons!
And then there was the time the sugar was mixed in with flour, I didn't know it until I tried to eat chicken ala king...
