My Little Darling...
So I was up way too late last night playing in my scrap room (creating very little, might I add...). This morning, my husband was kind enough to put on a movie for my little "precious" to watch, until his weary mother was able to wake herself enough to get out of bed to tend to the child (about 45 minutes).
This is what I found when I stumbled into the kitchen...
Count them - not 1, or 2, or 3, but FOUR 1/2 gallons of soupy ice cream opened on the floor, PLUS two opened containers of former delicious goodness from McDonalds (or Old McDonalds, if you ask Wyatt). The freezer was also wide open, though not pictured.
When my little wonderful was asked if he ate any of the ice cream, he said, matter-of-factly "Yes. (pause) I ate lots of it. (pause) I ate it with my finger... Like this." (Walking over to attempt to reenact the crime.)
Mommy - "DO NOT TOUCH THAT!!!"
Little Darling - "But I didn't open the spoon, Mommy!"
Note to Self...Get to bed earlier.
OMG too funny!! I love that he "saved" the spoon!!!
ReplyDeleteHahaha! Oh my!
ReplyDeleteGotta love it....I don't get up until my 1 yr olds gets up...Thankfully my other four watch a DVD quietly until mom and baby are up. This was just too cute not to share...
ReplyDeleteUh oh! Cute story!
ReplyDeleteIt could have been worse... I came in to my quiet stamp room to my 3 year old dumping out acrylic paint on my desk, and inking my stamps with Stazon...

That is an absolute riot! There is actually someone that has more ice cream in their freezer than us, too!
ReplyDeleteI love kids...they tell it like it is and are matter-of-fact. Thanks for the story :O)
ReplyDeleteOMG I'm a laughing so hard. That is just so cute. I'm sure not to you when you saw that. But I guess he wanted a sampling of everything. TFS!
ReplyDeleteha ha ha ha ha.... sounds familiar. I have 2 boys who are now 4 & 7. I have been through very similar things with both. During one of my recent sleep in days (big mistake) my 4 year old tried to make his own kool-aid.
ReplyDeleteLOL Kirsten -- TOO funny! Been there, done that. They seize every opportunity they get, the little rascals.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing!
THAT IS TOO FUNNY!!!! SOUNDS LIKE MY HOUSE. C.S.W.M (CANNOT SERVIVE WITHOUT MOM. THAKNS FOR THE PICTURES. HA HA
ReplyDeleteOh I am so lgad Im not the only one this happens too! Love the story!
ReplyDeleteI laughed so hard reading this. At least your hubby was awake..but I amazed the ice cream is not all over the floor. Another blogger Faith's son got up in the middle of the night to sneak ice cream & went back to bed. She caught the picture with his face full of chocolate ice cream...I love it when our kids do something so unexpected...Chris
ReplyDeleteGood hearty laugh!!! Loved the, "but I didn't open the spoon" line...lol It "appears" he kept the contents pretty confined though??
ReplyDeleteThat cracks me up! Reminds me of when my boys were little and one evening I could not find the ice cream. Looked all over the freezer. It disappeared!!! A day or so later I was vacuuming, low and behold, behind a chair in the corner, there is the empty ice cream with 2 spoons!
ReplyDeleteAnd then there was the time the sugar was mixed in with flour, I didn't know it until I tried to eat chicken ala king...
Muah ha ha!
ReplyDeleteWhat? The little rascal ruined the chocolate? NOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooo!
This is HILARIOUS!!!! Thanks so much for the laugh today.
ReplyDeleteThis is hilarious! THIS you need to scrapbook! You will be laughing about this for years to come! How funny!
