Did THAT title get your attention??? LOL This is the paint can that I have aluded to for the past few days. I finished it yesterday afternoon, and I was totally planning to wait and post it this Saturday, but I got so excited! I just had to share it now!!!

This is the can that contains all of the goodies in My Favorite 48, the special that Kim is releasing on the 1st! Yours will be filled Kim's hand-picked Prismacolor Pencils, a Pebbles click eraser, a sanding block, a collection of blending stumps, AND this new set, Shower Time! Check out this post on
Kim's blog for all of the deets, PLUS a pic of the whole set!

Most of the girls have altered their paint cans to be a pretty place to hold their pencils, and they SO are (have you SEEN what everyone is cooking up with this set and paint can!?!)! Well, I wanted to do something a bit different. I thought it'd be a good idea to show another use for the can, as well as the new set. Hence, this bridal shower gift...
I filled it with some of my under-used lingerie (for the picture - I wouldn't actually give someone MY lingerie! Ew! LOL), and created a fun little package for a soon-to-be bride. I used the new Shower Time set, as well as my Basic Grey Romani paper and ribbon. I also was inspired by some of the great packaging ideas over at Papertrey Ink, and created a window with which to see the pretties inside! I used my CM Circle Cutting System to do that.
Here's the top of the can, otherwise known as the lid! ;) I used my QuicKutz Cookie Cutter dies for all of the scallop circles in this project. For the main image, I used my Prismacolor Pencils (of course!).
I added a tiny flower to her shirt, by using one of the little flowers in the set, and omitting the stem. Then, I used that same flower to decorate the larger scallop circle's scallops (say that 3 times fast!). That was my favorite part! I also let her "borrow" Sneak Peek #1's pearl necklace (created with Liquid Pearls)! The Prima Sprites came from Lindsey.
Hope you like is as much as I had fun making it! Happy Hump Day, and I'll see you tomorrow with an announcement!
xox,
Kirsten

I love this! The colors are great, and the ribbons on the handle give it a festive touch. Nice job!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea and your colors are wonderful!!! Funny about the lingerie - I also have a drawerful that is very underused - I am partial to t-shirts these days - LOL!

ReplyDeleteAwesome!!! I love it!!!
ReplyDeleteKirsten, love the cirle window. I have a few of these cans and I always just put the paper half way up so you can see inside, but I like this idea for something different. Just might have to try it.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool idea!
ReplyDeleteOh, my gosh, this is darling! But I have to tell you first of all that you had me laughing out loud over your comment about your underused lingerie and how you (of course) wouldn't give it away as a gift. Anyway, this is so cute! The window lets the fun stuff inside help with the decoration of the can--great idea. Love all the ribbons. Cute looking set, too!
ReplyDeleteKirsten, this is just too fun! I love it!!!! What a great showcase!
