I Finally Got Them!!!

I finally made the splurge, after some enabling from Miss van der Saden and like folk, and got some Copic markers! I was able to get the first two sets, A and B, and now, of course, I need them all! I used the Papertrey CS to color on, and I think it blended pretty well. I wasn't thrilled with the WW for this technique.

Now, remember, this is my first attempt at Copic coloring, but I think it turned out pretty descent. I went with a simple layout for this, and tried to keep it "clean". The stamp set is from MFT, called You Take the Cake. I made three cards with this set and paper (American Crafts) that I'll be posting through the week.

Oh yeah, and I took Sherrie's advice and created some matching ribbon with the Copic marker. Cool idea! Have a wonderful day, and I'll talk to you tomorrow!

  5. How do you think the markers compare to other ways to color? I experimented today for the first time blending Prismacolors (I know I have said for awhile I was going to do this and finally got to it) and I must say I love the softer look of the colors and feel I have so much more control than with the SU markers.

Colors on this card are great -- I love the bold brights!

  6. Wow, this is great! Those colors are so vibrant. Geez, I'm trying to resist the Copics, but you're making it hard. I'm soon going to be found on the side of the road with a sign "Will work for Copics" LOL

    Great design all around!

  10. I've been debating those Copics. I really want them but can't decide if I can justify the cost. That's awesome you got them. And it looks like you've taken to them immediately. Your coloring is great already.
