You Make Me Happy

I made this with my friend Mimi in mind. She is truly a very caring and generous individual that I'm lucky to know. She helped me out with watching Wyatt a few weeks ago, and since then, she's mentioned several times when she can come and do it again! She really enjoys spending time with my little guy, and for even just that I'd love her. For her to want to spend time out of her awesome NEW STUDIO to come and play with my Wyatt makes me just a bit misty! LOL SO, enough of the mushy stuff! She knows I love her, and now so do you! :)

This is another card made with the AAS Kym Bowles image from yesterday. This time I paired it with the PTI Simple Alphabet and some Cosmo Cricket Hey Sunshine paper. It's brighter than I usually gravitate towards, but I like it.

I also used some AC ribbon, a Michael's bridal flower that I colored with a black Copic, my Cuttlebug/Swiss Dots folder, and my Copic markers. I also added some Spica pen to the wine glasses, and silver Stardust pen to the table and chairs. Lastly, there is a teal Twinkle Sticker in the flower center.

Now I'm off to make some Just Moved cards with friends for a friend that's moving! (Geesh that seemed redundant! LOL) Till later...

A Friend Like You

This is another card featuring some AAS images, Kim Bowles' Girl Talk and Kathleene Callei's sentiment. I've colored the image with Copics, also adding silver Stardust pen to the chairs and table. The PP is Just Dreamy, by MME, and I used PTI cardstock. I also used a Prima flower, SU! rhinestone, and PTI ribbon.

So, I've been working on some DT stuff, trying to get ahead of the game before my crazy month of July starts. I've already got three MFTeasers done with some GREAT new sets that you're going to love! Wohoo! :) Now, I'm just waiting for my happy mail to get here, so that I can get started on that stuff, too!

LAD has some AWESOME sets coming out, as well, in their summer release, slated for July 16th. I have about ALL of the new stuff coming to me, so you'll be seeing some of that soon, too! They've also got some big surprises for you, including contests, a release party, and blog "strolls"! You're not going to want to miss it!

In addition to THAT, I've got a fun announcement for next week! :)

So, I'd better get running! Got to take some pix before I get ready for work! Till later...

Thanks So Much

This is another clean and simple LAD card, using the Far East stamp set. I love the font on these sentiments, don't you?! For this, I simply stamped the solid lotus flowers, then used my Stamp-a-ma-Jig to line up the black layer on top. I also stamped the branch stamp on the background. Add a sentiment and wrap with ribbon, and voila! You've got a thank you card! Very quick and easy!

So, who's going to StampFest Orlando this weekend??? I'll be there with Kim, from MFT. I'm really looking forward to it! Let me know if you're going! I love meeting new stamping friends! :)

Also, I just sucked it up and bought my plane ticket to Chicago for Summer CHA! I've been dragging my feet, waiting for a super good deal, but I found one that's good enough. And now they're not getting any cheaper! I'm also pretty nervous about leaving my little guy for 4 days!!! Never even left him overnight! :( Well, anyhow, let me know if you're going to that as well! Should be amazing meeting so any PSFs, only then you won't be PRETEND anymore! :)

And now I'm off to try to finish a card while Wyatt's being entertained by Curious George! Till later...

The Worst Day

This is another American Art Stamp card made with Kathleene Callei's sentiment and Karen Stolper's image. This is a simple layout, geared towards a guy. I can think of a few who would enjoy a card like this!

I'm going to keep this quick today, but I think it's pretty self-explanatory! If you have a question, just shoot me an email! :)

Till next time!

Friends Always

I was playing around with LAD's Far East set a couple of days ago. This is one of the "Asian-like" cards that I came up with. The layout kind of reminded me of a Japanese kimono.

PP is from Prima, button's Creative Cafe, and ribbon is from May Arts. There are tiny silver rhinestones on each flower, and Fun Flock detail on the lantern.

For my favorite detail, though, you have to look a little closer. I inked up each of the stamps, and in order to mimic the rustic-ness of the PP, I took the tip of my scissors and removed ink in straight lines going in all directions. It makes the main image look older and "scratched", as if it were painted. I thought it was kind of cool! :)

Anywho, I'm off to get a bit of shut eye. I can barely keep my eyes open! Till next time...

Best Fishes

Happy Friday! This is a Karen Stolper image from American Art Stamp. I love all of her images! They're so whimsical an fun! This one makes a perfect Father's Day card!

I used some Wild Asparagus PP and an A Muse sentiment to make this. The image was colored with Copics (from now on, I'll try to only tell you when something ISN'T colored with Copics!). The ribbon is SU! and the button is from Creative Cafe.

Well, folks, that's about it for now! I've been stamping my fingers to the bone, so you have lots to check out over the next few days! See you then!

Last One...For Now

Note: I didn't actually USE this ribbon on THIS particular card set, but it sure does look pretty with it, huh!? ;)

I'm usually one who hates reproducing cards, but these four sets have actually been quite fun to make! AND I get the satisfaction that I'm actually USING the sets that I HAVE to have, kwim?! LOL Can you believe I actually made 32 cards with this bee set!?!This is another quick and simple layout using lots of punches and PTI sets. There is some clear Spica pen accent on the flowers, and for the bees, I used a solid circle from Butterfly Kisses and stamped the bee back side yellow. It's a perfect fit! The PP and all CS is from PTI.
Well, that's about it! Hope you like all of my buzzy bee cards! Be back soon with something to share!

Mommy to Bee

This the second card set that I made for Saturday's banquet. This one also uses PTI's Honey Bees, Favor It Baby, and Garden of Life sets. I really like these soft colors.

Here is a closer view of the card...

That sentiment isn't near as hard to read IRL. This lighting just washes it out.

I just stamped up some homemade PP by rocking and rolling the rose image, and adding in some leaves and dots. Quick and easy! This is a very simple layout and perfect for mass production. I was inspired by Michelle Wooderson's work. Her layouts are always so simple, yet so pretty! I've always been a fan of hers.

Well, that's about it! I'll the last set tomorrow (I think - no promises! LOL), and then I should have my altered sketch book to show you. Till then...

My Name is Kirsten and I am a Stamp Addict

This is the first of my three commissioned PTI card sets from yesterday. They all have matching envies. The sentiments are Mommy to Bee, Thank You, Bee Happy, and the one you see here.

As you can see, they are a much lower profile than my normal cards, but I like them anyways! The scallop layer is elevated with Dimensionals and there is Stickles on several of the flowers. I just love this color combination!

So, how much damage did ya do last night? I know that I did my fair share! I will have Grid Lines, Boards and Beams, and Birds of a Feather on their way to me very soon, as well as several other odds and ends, including all the Plum Pudding stuff and the set of set labels! Geesh!

Then this morning... I had to call one of my very best friends, Mimi, to have her add on to her order (she has a BIT more patience than I do, I figured she hadn't placed her order yet:)) the new Vintage Cream paper, Out on a Limb Additions, and Flower Garden Sentiments! Yikes! Thank goodness for fellow addict (though admittedly possibly not to the same degree) friends to pull you out of that "crap, now I have to pay shipping bind"! LOL Thanks Mimi!

In addition to all of that, I also have happy mail coming from Pink Cat Studio (can't wait for my "Dress Up Wyatt" set), Stamping Bella (OMW, don't make me confess that particular order), and some online scrapbooking store that I saw pretty paper in.

Also, in a more wallet friendly way, I have some cool Lizzie Anne and American Art Stamp coming at me! Speaking of which, both have new releases coming up soon that I'm super excited about, and YOU should be too!

And all of this doesn't even count the new Cosmo Cricket paper, Hey Sunshine, and the MME, Just Dreamy, paper I MUST have!

Hey, the blog title IS ConFESSIONS of a Naptime Stamper, RIGHT!?! ;) Good thing I've got some stamping money coming to me!

Wow, I feel better already! It always helps to come clean! Now it's YOUR turn! What damage have you all done recently? The goodies hubby may or may not know about? You can confess too! It's a safe place! No judging, I PROMISE! :)

Till later...

Who's Ready for Some New PTI?

I know that I am! I'm DEFINITELY getting Grid Lines, the new papers (inks, ribbon, too), and prolly the new bird set. Will have to see the whole flower set to know for sure, but it will all end up in my cart, I'm positive! LOL

Sorry for the inconsistent posts, folks! I'm still so out of whack d/t not having my regular desk top computer, and having to post on this laptop w/ NO watermarks, adequate photo editing software, and inaccurate screen colors. I'll get it all worked out. Just bear with me!

This is a cutie little card set that I made with the latest PTI release, Honey Bees. I made a set of 8, but after making them, I quickly figured out that only 4 will fit into the PTI card boxes if they have any more dimension on them than like one layer of Dimensionals. NO ribbon TIES or Dew Drops for sure! LOL

I was commissioned to make 3 card sets for the end of the year banquet for our MOMS Club. They needed to have 8 cards, so I had to scrap this one to use for someone else. I made a mid year resolution to make more of these card sets, to have on hand for bday gifts, etc... I also MAY start an Etsy shop to sell them, if I get some interest. You'll see the other three sets that I made in the next few days. All four have the same color scheme and are made with the same three or four sets. I wanted the sentiments to all be the same.

I used Polka Dot Basics for the bkgd, this sentiment came from Favor It Baby (the others are from Honey Bees), and the images all come from Honey Bees. There's Stickles in the flower centers and Dew Drops in the corner. I used the solid circle from Butterfly Kisses to fill in the bee bottom - a pretty ingenious idea, if I do say so myself! ;)

Well, that's about it. I will be back as soon as I can with another card set. Let me know what you're planning on getting from the PTI release tonight! Can't wait!

Each Day is a Gift

This is a journal from Michael's that I altered with some American Art Stamp stamps. Both of these are from Marsha McCarthy. I stamped the sentiment that is part of the image on the inside. The sentiment that you see here is a separate stamp.

This image is a lot of fun to color. When I first stamped it, it didn't look like much to me, but after adding color to it (with my Copics), it seemed to come alive. It's also VERY sparkly! I had a LOT of fun with my Stickles on this! The sentiment is one stamp that I cut into three separate layers. The first layer is black, the second is Pink Passion, and the third is Brilliance Pearlescent Lime - so it shimmers, too! The ribbon is all from May Arts.

Well, thanks for stopping by! Tomorrow should bring a PTI card. See you then...

Meet One of My Little Fur Babies!

I mentioned a while back that we had recently adopted a pair of female hamsters. I said that I might post a pic of one or both of them. Well, I didn't exactly get my inbox filled with requests to share, but I am anyways! :) We got them for Wyatt, but I've fallen in love with them! LOL

This is Ariel - named for the Little Mermaid. (The other one is Jasmine. :)) They're named for the Disney princesses that Wyatt has a crush on! LOL They are both very sweet and super soft Black Bear hamsters.

What do you think? Ain't she cute!? :)

I also wanted to thank Alex for nominating me for this Kreativ Blogger award. Thanks so much for thinking of me Alex!

I'll be back tomorrow with a stampy post. See you then!

What's Up Cupcake?

This is a 5 1/4 square card that I made with the new MFT mini set, What's Up Cupcake.

I used some Ki PP as my color inspiration. The ribbon is SU!, and the flowers are Prima and Imaginisce. Button is from Creative Cafe.

One thing I love about this set is that all the parts of the cupcakes are separate, making the set versatile. You can add icing, sprinkles, cherries, candles, or leave them plain! For these, I thought that I would ice them with chocolate icing and add my own cherry!

I stamped the main cupcake image and colored with Copics. Next, I stamped the icing image (all one piece) with my Glue Pad, and sprinkled with chocolate colored MSL fine glitter. Makes them nice and sparkly! Lastly, I just added an A Muse Twinkle Sticker to each one!

Well, that's about it! My darling DH is bugging me to get out of the house! LOL Have a great one, and I'll be back soon with a cutie card set!

My Favorite Things Presents: Annie LaPoint

This post was meant for yesterday, but I didn't get back from Busch Gardens till 10:30 d/t one of the bridges on 75 being demolished by an exploding oil tanker! It was a long day, but I'm home, rested, and ready to post! LOL
*
These images are from MFT's latest release (last night). Don't really look like MFT images, do they??? That's because they're drawn by a different artist - Annie LaPoint! Aren't they great!?
*
Welcome to My Favorite Presents! Click HERE for more information on this new line of stamps! This is a set of three cards that I made with the new images, Lavender, Chamomile, and Take a Break. They are all 4 1/4 in. sq. cards, using the same layout. The third card's layout was just flipped on it's side.
*
This first card uses some of my favorite Chatterbox paper, Behind the Scenes (for the dotted strip), and Copics (of course). I used the PP for my color inspiration. Ribbon is SU! and all other card stock is PTI.This next card is very similar. The only difference in recipe is that this one uses Basic Gray PP. Again, it was my color inspiration. For the last card, like I mentioned above, I flipped the layout. The image was longer horizontally, so it worked better this way. The PP this time is Crate Paper's Blue Hill (my current fave PP:)), and I just used the dotted PP in the line for the accent strip. Ribbon is PTI, as well as all the card stock.
All of the images were accented with my clear Spica glitter pen. Hopefully, you can see that in this close-up image. These images were so much fun and easy to color! You're going to LOVE THEM!
*
Well, that's it for this lengthy post! I'll be back soon for some more MFT new release cards and another AAS project that I haven't shown you. Now, if I can just get my stamping room back to working order, I might be able to get something new done this week! LOL
*
Have a wonderful afternoon!

MFTeaser: Congrats All Around

This is a tent card that I made with one of the new MFT sets (to be released tonight), called Congrats All Around. The stamps were created to go with the Marvy Giga and Mega punches, and are so cool! I used the stamps and punches to create a quick and easy flower card.

The inside will say "congrats on your new home". The leaf image comes from the Build a Bouquet MFT set. I cut out and elevated all of the flower layers, and rock and rolled the petal image with PTI's Summer Sunrise and Lemon Tart inks. Here's a closer look...

All paper (minus the Choc Chip roof) is PTI, and the ribbon is SU!

You could put any of the images in place of the house for a different occasion. It's a very multifunctional layout!

Well, we are now off to Busch Gardens! Wyatt's never been there, so he should have loads of fun with all of his cousins! :) Till next time...

*Make sure that you head on over to the MFT forum tonight for the new releases! There's lots of exciting things going on!

MFTeaser: Here's the Scoop!

I meant to post this yesterday, but we have family in town, and I was never able to get around to it! I've got lots to show you with these new MFT sets, but not a lot of posting time! LOL This set is one of my favorites, though. It's called Here's the Scoop, and it will be released tomorrow night!!!

For the top card, I used my Crate Paper from the Blue Hill collection. The flower on the circle came from MFT's Build a Bouquet. The image is colored with Copics, and I used Dew Drops and PTI ribbon.

I LOVE that image, because it is SO me! LOL :)

This is another long card I made with Basic Gray Cupcake paper and May Arts ribbon. There is red glitter on all of the cherries. This color bkgd paper doesn't really make the card show up very well, but you get the idea.

There are lots of cute sentiments that go with this set, as well. I really wished that I had space to put one on this second card! Oh well, it'll have to go on the inside! :)

And now I'm off to go hang with the fam and have breakfast. Before I do, though, here's some info I copy/pasted about the release party...

My Favorite Things (www.mftstamps.com) is having a New Release Cocktail Party on Wednesday, June 4 from 9-11 p.m. Eastern time. LOTS of fun (and a surprise release) is planned including finding out how YOU can be the next MFT Guest Designer. Head over to the MFT forum on www.splitcoaststampers.com to find out all the details and we hope to see you there on Wednesday night.

Be back soon!

You're Too Kind

This card uses another AAS Marsha McCarthy image, Lotus. I embossed it with white EP, and sponged on color, then wiped off the extra on the embossing with a paper towel. This is a 4 1/4 square card.

Can you see my new toy??? I got my Fiscars Threading Water punch about a week and a half ago, and I'm just now getting around to using it! I love it! It makes the prettiest little scallops!

Also found on this card is some May Arts ribbon, SU! buttons, K&Company PP, and a PTI sentiment (from Mixed Messages). The butterfly was punched with a MSL punch from the back side of the main PP. It ensures coordination! :)

Tomorrow, I've got my first June MFTeaser, and these sets ROCK, so don't miss it! I think the consensus with all of the DT girls is that this is the best release yet, so make sure you check out everyone's blog, starting tomorrow! All of the girls' links are on my sidebar. The big release is this Wednesday!

Till then...

All Things Grow with Love

Good morning, Sunshines! :) I'm feeling accomplished by my day of slaving away yesterday, and thought that I'd take a minute to post a card for you! This is a 4 1/4 square card that I did for my AAS DT. I really like the simplicity of this card. I also really like this Lillies (Marsha McCarthy) image stamped in the white chalk ink on the craft!

All paper and ribbon is PTI and the button is SU!. I'm really loving the PTI Craft! It's got such a nice weight and smoothness to it! The sentiment is also from PTI's Garden of Life set.

Still having computer issues. The problem is this - we don't know what the problem is! Dave thinks it COULD be fixed if we buy some $150 part, but maybe not. If that's not it, then the issue is with the motherboard, and then all of our info stored on the computer (no, I didn't back much up) is lost! Big nightmare.

And now I'm off to feed the child! Have a wonderful weekend, and I'll catch ya later! :)

Need Chocolate?

I know I do! I'm up to my eyeballs in cleaning, projects, errands, etc... We're getting some family in tomorrow (my brother and his fam), and I'm trying to get the house up to snuff, get groceries, complete stamping commitments, take care of the little monkey, etc...

I did get some photos taken of some projects that I've recently completed! Believe it or not, I've got lots to show you - several AAS projects and MFTeasers, though the MFT stuff can't be shown till Monday. Stay tuned for all of that! There is some pretty awesome stuff coming out soon!

Anywho, this is a project that's pictures doesn't do it justice at all. It's a little clear 2x2x7 box that I created for these yummy Starbucks chocolates. It holds 4 of them, and makes a cute little "just thinking about you" gift.

I took a close-up to try and show you the ribbon that I stamped with PTI's Lavender Moon and LAD's In the Background swirl stamp. It's quite pretty IRL. The tag stamp is from LAD's Petite Phrases. If you can't tell (which you prolly can't) I stamped the ACTUAL chocolate wrapper (because you KNOW I had to eat a few, and had wrappers in my trash can! LOL) with Palette Burnt Umber ink, and cut out the wrapper image from it to paper piece it on the tag. Nice and shiny IRL. Well, that's about it! I'll back real soon with an AAS project. Now I'm off to mail off an ATC swap! Cya soon! :)

You Take the Cake

Okay, be kind with me. I'm like a fish out of water trying to upload/edit pix with a different computer and software. My REAL computer is still broke, and it's TOTALLY throwing me off my game! LOL I don't even have any of my watermarks! Aaah!

Anyways, this is a Lizzie Anne card using the set, Petite Phrases. It's a great multifunctional set, and the images are just too cute! I used my Crate Paper Blue Hill collection, and some PTI paper. There is some clear Spica pen on the "icing", though I doubt you can see it with the pic.

Welp, that's about it! Have a good Hump Day! I should be back tomorrow with another LAD project. Till then....

We're Back, But...

I've still nothing to show you. Computer is still not working, and I've not time to stamp! I'm hoping to get some stuff done ASAP, though, as I've lots of impending deadlines! Thanks for hanging in with me though this ultra sloooooooooooow time! LOL

We had a great time at Disney! We went to Animal Kingdom, Magic Kingdom, and a little Epcot. We did two character dinners - one with the Disney princesses and one with Pooh and friends. We also fit in some Downtown Disney and the coolio dragon pool! What a jam-packed, but super fun trip with some good friends!

Hope you're having a wonderful Memorial Day! Now to get back to the unwinding! :)

The Blogging Gods are Against Me

Sooo, I went yesterday to post that other April Cards Card that I mentioned the day before, and my computer was caput! Turns out that it's my monitor that's broke, so until I get that fixed/get a new one, I can't upload the pix that are on that computer! Ack!!! Sorry for my blogging lameness this week!

In other news, for all that care, as of last night, I'm now on an antibiotic, so I'm starting to feel a bit better. That nasty bug hit my respiratory system on Monday, and yesterday I could feel it moving into my chest, so I finally broke down and called the Dr. Evidently I really needed it, because I already notice a world of difference! :)

So, I'll be back as soon as I have something I can show you. Have a great one!

April Cards (Part 1)

Okay, sorry for drawing this out, but I still don't have anything new that I'm able to show you yet, so I'll post the other card that I didn't already publish tomorrow. :)

This is a Lizzie Anne card, made with their Gettin' Hitched stamp set. This one is an awesome one for weddings - I love all of the images!!! Too cute!

Anyways, the bkgd is Bazzill Bling that I Cuttlebugged with the D'Vine Swirls folder. Ribbon is AC. Cord and rhinestone brads are SU!, but the large black brad is Bazzill. Images were colored with Copics and detailed with a Silver Stardust pen. Flowers are Prima. This is a 5 1/4 square card.

Well, I'm off to try to get some stuff done! Have a great afternoon!

I'm Still Alive!

So sorry for the infrequent posts lately, but life happens! Nothing major - just illness, busyness, and laziness! I'm still not feeling well. Now it seems that it's moving into a respiratory thing, but I'll get over it...I hope!

Anywho, I don't have anything to show you at the moment, but I'll be back soon with some eye candy! I'm working on some DT stuff that I can't show you, but I know that I have at least a couple pubbed cards that I can now share. I just have to figure out which ones those are! LOL It's hard to remember which ones I've posted and which ones I haven't. :)

In other news, over the weekend our family grew by two! We are now the proud owners of two female Black Bear Hamsters! :) I know that not everyone is a fan of "rodents", but they are so sweet and cute to us! Maybe I'll post a pic soon...

Also, we're getting ready and excited for another trip to Disney this weekend! We're going with good friends this time, and staying at a coolio resort, so I know that it'll be super fun. (It's Wyatt's Sophie's family. :)) Anyone else have Memorial Day plans they want to share?

Well, that's about it. Summer's coming and that's always full of extra visitors down here and more plans, but it's all exciting! Wyatt's 4th birthday is coming up in a couple of months, as is CHA, StampFest, etc..., so there's tons to be done! Right now I'm up to my eyeballs in DT stuff, ATCs, and commissioned card sets which I'll show when I've got them done. So if you don't hear from me as regular as usual, I'll be back as soon as I can catch my breath! :)

Going Places

Thank you for the well wishes! I do feel a bit better tonight. :)

This card was made for the MFTSC30 weekly sketch challenge, courtesy of Cindy Haffner. The paper is SEI's Dill Blossom, and I had so much fun coloring with those colors! Stamps are from one of MFT's newest releases, Goin' Places. Ribbon is PTI, and button is Creative Cafe.

Well, that's about it! I guess this one is going to be a quickie post, too! I'm tired, and I need to get off to bed. Have a good night!

I Soda Like You

This is going to be a quick post as I'm feeling pretty crummy right now. I've got a fever and I'm achy all over. Anywho...

This is a 5 1/4 square card that I made with my LAD set, Petite Phrases. The whipped cream was made dimensional with Liquid Applique. The cherry is an A Muse rhinestone. PP and ribbon are from SU!.

I'll be back soon with my MFT sketch challenge card. Have a good one!

I'm Back!

So with all of the Mother's Day fun this weekend, I thought that I'd take a little Blog Siesta. I need those from time to time. I have been doing some stamping, though, so I've got lots to share. I'll start with this PTI card.

I had a lot of fun with my Pond Life set. There's so many possibilities for that set, and just too little time! For this card, I focused on the fish and fishing.

I used the cattail stem for the rod and some linen thread for the string. The hook came from a paper clip that I trimmed down. My favorite part of this card is the way that the fish "comes out" of the water.

I cut a slit in the "ripple" with my craft knife and slipped the prestamped and cut out fish in it, masked, and stamped the tail that is still "under" the water. It's a little dimensional, too - you can see the shadow.

The tiny caterpillar is from the "hand stamped" stamp. Such cute stamps in this set! I love the little "splash"!

The sentiment is cut and embossed with my Nesties, and the "water" was cut with my scallop scissors.

Well, that's about it for this card!

Thanks to everyone who commented on the "present card"! I've gotten some requests for a tutorial, so I'm planning one of those in the not too distant future. Just need to decide which stamp I'll use for the inside!

Now I'm off! Have a great day, and I'll be back soon!

Glitter Wings

This is another image from American Art Stamp (AAS), specifically an image from Adriana Cirstea - Angel with Child. Can you see the sparkle in their wings? They're covered with MSL silver glitter, hence the post's title. :)

From now on, just assume that if it's a colored image, that I used Copic Markers. I'll let you know if I used something different! LOL

OMGoodness, I just got my extra Sketches in and filled out my blank Copic Color Chart that I found on Sharon Harnist's blog, and let me tell you that that has made coloring so much more enjoyable!!! No more scribbling colors onto scrap pieces of paper to see if they match! It also makes finding the right blending colors SO much easier. I also can't believe that I didn't have my markers in numerical order for so long! Now I feel so much more organized with them. If you use Copics, I seriously suggest you print out the chart!

Anywho, back to the card. My color combo came from a page in my latest Pottery Barn magazine. The flower is one of those bridal flowers from Michaels'. I colored that with Copics, too. Ribbon is from AC, and the sentiment is from PTI's Little Lady.

Welp, dinner's almost ready, so I'll have to catch up more with you later!

This is my first American Art Stamp card. It features Adriana Cirstea's Angel with Flowers. Isn't she (this stamp, not my coloring) just beautiful?!?

I couldn't decide on a pic, because the one above has more accurate colors, but in the one below you can see all of the shimmer, SO I just posted both! :)

You can find more out about this card on the AAS blog HERE.
Also, don't forget that the new MFT stamps are now available on the website, so click on over there to check them out!

Till later...

MFTeaser: Gone to the Dogs and Goin' Places

This post is going to be quick because it's going to be a busy day! I did want to show you this 5 1/4 card that I made last night. It features stamps from two of the new upcoming sets, Gone to the Dogs (dog and girl) and Goin' Places (city scape). These, along with Friends Furever, will be released tonight, so make sure you pencil in some time to spend at the release party!

Here's all of the deets...
My Favorite Things (www.mftstamps.com) is having a New Release Cocktail Party on Wednesday, May 7 from 9-11 p.m. Eastern time. Lots of fun is planned including finding out how YOU can be the next MFT Guest Designer. Head over to the MFT forum on www.splitcoaststampers.com to find out all the details and we hope to see you there on Wednesday night.

Hope to see you all there! Now I'm off and running! Oh, and if you're wondering, the purse is from MFT's Say Charge. :)

Sophie Girl

After I saw this stamp set from Pink Cat Studio (Dress Up Lily) and found out that it can be personalized, I knew that I had to do that for a gift. This is a beginner card kit for a sweet little girl, named Sophie. She just turned 4, and also happens to be Wyatt's "girlfriend" - sorry Am, but face the facts! :)

Anyways, I ordered the set, grabbed up some card making "necessaries" here and there, and came up with this gift. I added PP and ribbon to all of the items to make it all coordinate. I was going to make a cute little "purse bag" to put it all in too, but ran out of time. Instead I picked up a nice glassine bag at Target and tied some ribbon on. I took a pic of it, but this post has enough pix, so I figured it would be easy enough for you to visualize, and left it off! LOL
This is her "present" card. I wanted to do something interactive, so I made it into a pocket. When you pull off the lid, the message and "Sophie" pop out of the box to say surprise (well, actually she says "have a splendiferous day", but you get the drift...)!!! The "lid" actually slides down over the top of the "present".
The sentiment is from A Muse and the "Sophie" was done with PTI's Simple Alphabet. All ribbon and PP is from SEI's Chick-a-Dee line. There's also A Muse Twinkle Stickers on the little tag as flower centers.

Welp, that's about it! Come back soon for another MFTeaser and an AAS project! Till then...

MFTeaser: Friends Furever

Here I am back with another card for today. This is the MFTeaser that I promised you this morning! This set is the MFT Mini for this month, and it's called Friends Furever. It's so stinking adorable, and I love it because it reminds me of my little guy and our big Lab.

I used the same sketch that I posted this morning for this card, but I added a couple more embellies to it! The button is from Creative Cafe and the fire hydrant is from Queen and Co. PP and ribbon is from SU!

I got my Copics today!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMWord, I'm SO excited about that! Now I've got all of the Ciaos, and I've already ordered a few Sketch to fill in some gaps. LOL I'm a Copic junkie, what can I say! It IS going to take me a bit to get used to all of the new colors. I printed off the Color Chart so it'll make it easier for me to see which one is which!

Well, I gotsta go get dinner ready! Have a good one, and hopefully, after my stamp room is all REorganized from this weekend, I'll be able to sit down and stamp tonight! Till next time...

Make a Wish and a Sketch!

It's been a while since I posted a sketch, so I thought that I would give you one today to start off your week! This one was inspired by a card in the SU! catty.
This is another SU! S-A-S card, but I hope to be back later today with a MFTeaser! Oh, are you going to love those sets!!!
I used my Jersey Shore PP for the strip, and Big Bold Birthday for the image and sentiment. There is some glitter glue on the icing, and the icing is popped up on Dimensionals. This is a quick and easy peasy sketch that I hope that you'll try. If you do, remember to link it back here, and you can put "ked7" in the keyword section if you upload it to SCS.
Now, I'm off to a playdate! Have a great one and check back here soon! :)

Emboss Resist!

This is for all of you technique junkies that have been waiting for me to post something technique related! LOL I'm not usually a technique person, but this was fun! This is also one of the cards from my Stamp-a-Stack that I did last night. Boy, am I exhausted! :)

Sorry for my lack of posts this week. I've been crazed, like I knew (and posted) that I would be! I should be doing several other things right now, actually! LOL BUT, I figured I'd try and give you something else to look at, AND let you know I'm still ALIVE!!! :)

This is actually the first time that I tried this technique. I simply embossed the image from Garden Whimsy with Versamark and Clear Embossing Powder, and then sponged the color on. I used my Daubers, and started ON the image and worked out for a nice gradation effect. Then you just wipe the color off of the embossed areas with a paper towel. Easy Peasy. I think it turned out quite pretty.

I also did some "faux dry embossing" on the Saffron layer with my 1/4 circle hole punch. I love that tiny Olive twill ribbon that I got from the last ribbon. Feels so nice. All stamps are Stampin' Up!.

Well, that's about it! It's my Hubby's birthday today, and we're talking about checking out a sandcastle competition at Siesta Key beach! There should be plenty of sandy eye candy there!

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend, and I'll be back "soon"! :)
