You're a Good Apple and some news...
This is a card that slipped through the cracks, and was just rediscovered this morning! I've been doing some more stamping - 10 projects yesterday, actually - in an effort to get "ahead of the game" before we move! It's just one of the many things on my "list". It did feel good to accomplish so much, though!
I used LAD's Tutti Fruiti set and one of Lauren's older sketches for this. (Her blinkie is on my sidebar.) The PP is from LAD (too) and the buttons are Basic Grey. Used my Nesties for the main image and the ribbon is SU!.
So, I guess that it's somewhat official. We're moving to Ohio for at least a year to give this new opportunity for Dave a go, and we'll see what happens after that. We found a renter for our house that we trust, which in this market, we HAVE to take as a sign! We're moving in a month. It's not going to be easy, because, well, I'm not going to have a stamp room... need I say more?! But I think that it could be a really good thing for us, even if I am going to miss FL, and our life here, terribly. Change is a part of life, I guess...
Well, I guess that's enough for today. Have a good one!
xox,
Kirsten
I'm a believer that everything happens for a reason, so although I know it's hard, you just have to look ahead to see what opportunity is awaiting. If there's a garage, park the car outside and commandeer the space for your stamp room! :)
ReplyDeleteHugs!
And meant to also say that the card is just perfect!
ReplyDeleteWell, before you leave, tell Kim to get Martin crackin' on one of those nifty craft-space-in-a-box thingies she and I have talked about! He'll have a month to put it together, and then you can move it with you. Your craft room will be in whatever room you want it!!
ReplyDeleteSeriously, I'm sooo happy to hear you've found a renter. I know you'll miss FL and your life as it once was there, but Ohio has it's own beauty, and it sounds like such a great opportunity for your DH. And how cool for Wyatt that his mommy will also be the school nurse?! (I remember LOVING the school nurse at my elementary school! :) Think of all those sweet little kiddos who will feel that way about you...) This is going to be a GREAT move, sister!!!
Okay. Your card is cute, too -- LOVE that yummy LAD set!
I hope that move will be a prosperous one for you. Any change is difficult and takes some time to get used to, but you will adapt and be great!
ReplyDeleteI hope you still keep your blog going after your move. We would certainly like to know how your family is and still want to see those great cards. Good luck!!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card! Ohio's not all that bad, but it's not Florida, that's for sure. I lived in Cincinnati for nearly 5 years after living in western KY all my life and I survived. I have moved back home, but it was a fun experience. Sorry you're not gonna have a stamp room. :( Good luck on your journey!
ReplyDeleteWelcome Back!! To Ohio that is.
ReplyDeletelove the card!
ReplyDeletehaving moved to Ohio from Florida 12 years ago, I have to tell you that my family loves it! We wouldn't go back to FL for anything! and we live right in the midst of the worst snow you can possibly get! ;) it is absolutely gorgeous here, and the people are phenomenal! I think that you will love it, too! welcome! :)
