In Case You've Been Wondering...

I've gotten several emails from my "cyber friends", asking if there's anything wrong and letting me know that I'm missed, and I've got to tell you that I'm quite grateful for those emails and comments. Thank you so much for your sweet words!

The deal is that Dave has, in effect, lost his job...again. Well, it's not so much as lost as, on a hold. You may know that my husband is in construction, and the job that he's had for the past year and change has stalled. With no one spending any money on building houses, or anything else, he hasn't been paid since mid-December. He's been looking for other opportunities, but in his field, and especially in Florida, it's hard to stay positive in this economy.

Therefore, I've been working a lot more and spending my limited free time with my little guy, Wyatt. It's been hard to focus on anything else. Due to that, I asked my MFT boss-lady, Kim, if I could take a few weeks off, which is why you haven't seen me in the Hops or posting samples with the cool new releases lately.

That being said, I'm REALLY hoping to get my mojo up and flowing very soon. First step is to clean up my craft studio, so that I can be creative in there. Heaven knows that I've got oodles of fun stamps to play with. But I know that if I go in there, I might not come back out! Which then would turn up the guilt factor of not spending that time with my son... Alas, it's a vicious cycle! LOL

However, I will get it worked out. My goal is to get some stuff done this weekend, but I'm not going to promise, because for SURE it won't happen then! LOL I hope you understand.

Till later...

xox,
K

  2. Kirsten, I am sorry to hear of your husbands "on hold" with his job. My husband builds trucks for a living, and though he hasn't lost his job, it has been slow, and we are praying that the company stays afloat. Just know that your stamping can be your release when YOU need it to be. Thank God for nursing! I am a GI nurse, and I too have been working extra. My prayers are to you, and your family, and your little one. Keep your chin up, its only temporary. Blessings to you!

My husband's work relies heavily on newly built homes, and we all know that ain't happening! Kirsten, I will pray for you and your family through this difficult time. I soooo know what you're going through!

  16. Hi Kirsten!

I'm so happy you are okay. I was getting worried too but I don't really know you and didn't want to intrude by asking. Sorry to hear about Dave's job. My husband was laid off a couple of weeks ago too and I understand the stress of it all. I will keep you all in my thoughts and hope that something comes up for him soon. I'll keep my eye out for your wonderful creations!

  20. Hi, Kirsten: I checked in the other day and saw it had been a while since you posted. I was wondering...but I know you're working and have Wyatt...sometimes priorities have to shift. I live in an area that's always struggling with economy issues. My job has always been secure, but my husband has had to change a couple of times over the years. We've managed to pull through and I know you will, too. Things are bound to get better eventually. Best of luck to you and your family.
