I KNEW That Cleaning Was Hazardous to My Health!

Wow, I can't believe that it's been like a million years since my last post! Well, probably more like 2 weeks, but STILL! It's just one of those times of the year when it's all that I can do to get all of my Christmas stamping, baking, wrapping, and buying done in time for all of the festivities. Then comes the Christmas "hangover"! We STILL have toys all over the house and cookies all over the kitchen, how about you?

In addition to all of that, my wonderful husband remodeled my stamp room, and reorganized all of my stuff. So, I'm sure that you can imagine that it then required a lot of REreorganization from me, but I was happy to do it, because it was a much needed chore. Now, I have an uber cool room that I will share pix of later. I really love stamping in it, HOWEVER...

On Sunday evening, I thought it would be a good idea to clean up the master bathroom while Wyatt was in the tub. Well, I was trying to hurry and talk to him at the same time, and saw something on the floor that needed picking up. I ended up kicking the corner of the wall (obviously really hard) and broke my toe. I won't describe it to you, because it's pretty gross, but suffice it to say that it was VERY clear to us that it was broken.

Now, I'm utterly BORED because I have to sit or lie down with my foot up all day, and CAN'T PLAY IN MY NEW ROOM! GRRR! Thank goodness that Dave is off this week, because he's a huge help. You know, it's a little difficult to move my computer from place to place while hopping around on crutches and a surgical shoe. LOL

Anyways, I have some things to share, and I will soon, but I wanted to drop in first and tell you what's going on! Our Christmas was wonderful - Wyatt was thrilled, and everything was perfect. How about you all? I hope that it was magical for everyone!

xox,
Kirsten

  1. So sorry to hear of your injury, but at least you learned your lesson about cleaning. Best leave it to professionals, right? LOL

We're still trying to get back to normal lives ourselves, but it will have to wait until after our New Year's Eve party. Or until the decorations come down.

Hope you have a speedy recovery and bounce back soon! Happy New Year!

  5. Sorry to hear about your injury. I broke my little toe a few years back while I was vacuuming the living room (see...cleaning is hazardous to our health). I bumped my toe into the wooden leg of the couch. Mine was minor compared to your break.

  6. Admit it! You're just trying to be like me, yet again... even to the point of breaking your toe! I know imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, but this is getting ridiculous!!! hee. Glad you went to the doc and got it properly set, and I hope you'll be up on your feet and at the very least stamping soon! Make sure you don't get hooked on the pain meds. The next time I see you, I don't want it to be for an intervention!!!! Happy New Year, Ked-do!
