Creeping Up

Yeah! My mojo seems to be slowly "creeping" back today. What a relief that is! In the light of everything else that's been going on lately with the fam, it's a relief to have THAT, kwim??? Probably not, because I didn't say in the first place what has been going on. Dave got laid off last Friday, so it looks like, until he's accepted for another job, I'm going to be picking up some hours at the hospital. (Insert look of complete disgust here.) Therefore, with the stress level around here as it is, card making has NOT been coming easy for me.

THIS card, however, did. I'm really happy with how it turned out, even though the pic on this rare rainy Florida day didn't come out so hot. (Click on it for a better view.) The stamps used are from Hambo's newest Halloween collection, found here.

I used my new AC Thickers and Spellbinders dies with this, along with my beloved Copics and Tool Kit. And I'm starting to wish that I had picked up more of this Doodlebug Halloween paper, because I LOVE the colors in it!

Thanks for peeking in. Hope to have more for you soon! Have a great evening!

xox,
k

  2. How difficult this must be. It's nice that, at least, you have a job, and one where you can pick up extra shifts. It helps a little I guess. I'm hoping your DH finds a new position soon. Your card is really adorable. Didn't even notice the missing mojo. Take care of your fam, and we'll be watching for any creations you have time to make.

  3. Kirsten, what a cute card. Sorry to hear about your husband's job...I know that is a tough thing to go through on both ends! In the past 5 years, my DH lost his job twice & I did once. You'll get through, keep the faith!

  16. So sorry to hear about the job loss. This just happened to us too in September. My hubby lost his job one week and his mother a week later. Needless to say, it's been a rough month. I wish you and you husband all the best. It's never easy having the rug pulled out from under you. Keep your eyes to the sky and hang in there.

    Hugs,
    Amy

  17. Wow! Bright and fun and I absolutely LOVE this image! I'll definitely be getting some of these stamps. I love the clever sentiments and how they match the images. BTW, my mojo should be so missing. I'm sorry about your husband's job. I know that's hard and he must be feeling pretty crummy about it. Been through that more than once over the years. It's fortunate that you have a profession that's always in demand to help you through times like this. I know you'd rather be home with your son, though. Seems like it would be tough to keep up with all your design team work, too. I'm pulling for you, hoping things get back on track soon. I know it'll get better. Hang in there!
