Tonight's the Night!!!

Get your wallets ready, Ladies! Tonight is the BIG NIGHT! At MIDNIGHT EST, you will finally be able to order all FIVE of the new My Favorite Things sets! (And you can get them all for $65!!!) You've seen three of them in the past few days, and this number four. Meet Boho Blossoms.

Boho is a totally beautiful floral set, and I'm not even sure that I've completely done it justice. The images are so intricate and unique. The possibilities are endless. (Make sure that you check out this post, to see the gorgeous tea tin that my Girl, Jen, made!)

This set includes two large flowers (an outline and solid - negative image), two large hearts (same idea as the flowers), five flourishy boho type images (smaller hearts, flowers, and arrows), and TEN single words to piece together or leave on their own.

I think that this CC was a challenge on SCS. I really like this combination. The sketch came from one of Julee's challenges. Make sure you check out her blog, if you haven't already. She's got great sketches!

For the card... "Friendship" is stamped tone on tone on the pink layer, and I stamped several of the other images onto the white layer to create patterned paper. For the main image flower, I layered the two flower stamps, then curled the edges a bit to make them look more realistic, and inked the petals. And yes, I actually cut out one of those teeny tiny Olive flower images, and adhered it to the center of the main flower with a rhinestone brad. :) Hope you like it!

You may have noticed that we've only shown you 4 of the 5 sets??? Well, tomorrow (or tonight if I'm awake that late!) we will all show you the last and most special set. You've probably already seen the awesome preview on Kim's blog, but you're going to see what the DT has done with it tomorrow, ALONG WITH hearing an extra special announcement that you won't want to miss!

See you then, and have a wonderful Sunday!

Stop! Hambo Time.

(LOL - I crack myself up!!!)

I wanted to take a break from all of the MFT for just a moment to show you this quick and cutie card. I love this ice cream truck stamp from Hambo. I colored it with my Prisma Pencils, and shadowed it with my Prisma Marker.

I'll skip the bla, bla, bla for this post, since the earlier one from today was a novel! LOL Besides, it's pretty self-explanatory! All of these stamps are from Hambo Stamps, and can be found here.

Hope you're all having a wonderful weekend! We're 'bout to have a CHEAT NIGHT from our diet. Chocolate Tall Cake, here I come!!! ;)

Let's Do Lunch

Make sure that you don't miss THIS POST for your chance to win your own MFT stamp set, and more!!! Remember, you can enter without having to submit a card - that only increases your chances of winning - it's not mandatory! How much do you LOVE this set already?!? Not because of my card, but for the images alone! This, admittedly, is not my best watercoloring job, but I was in a hurry one night this week when my hubby was bugging (in his most lovingly way, of course!) me to leave for the Y. I didn't want to scrap the whole thing, though, so I covered up (I mean made some key design decisions) a couple of boo boos by creating jewelry for the ladies! The one in the plum has a silver chain belt, and the one in the pomegranate has a silver bracelet. (She had a necklace, too, but that was covered up by the awning!) I was trying to use a skin tone Prismacolor Marker for the speed of it, and it bled the Stazon in spots. Oh, well, you can't really tell now.

Anywho, this is Day 3 of My Favorite Things previews, and this set is called Meet Me at the Cafe. I LOOOVVVEE this set! Like I said yesterday, it's probably one of my faves. Here's the scoop... The set includes the awning and main image, of course, as well as EIGHT sentiments in this fabo font, the corner image and retro wine container you see on my card, a poodle, "cafe" sign, and 4 other items that can be placed on the table - cake, present, tall wine bottle, and slice of cake (with separate candle to add on if you wish!).

Now, about the card, I used my Silver Stardust pen to highlight around the plum layer, because I thought it need some extra punch. Also, I got this CC from the new IN Color chart (that I only recently discovered - I'm so out of the SU! loop, it's sad!), and it's definitely NOT one that I would have chosen on my own, but I thought that it looked kind of "Frenchie". What do you think? It's Olive, Pomegranate, Pale Plum, and Bravo Burgundy. Oh, and I used some River Rock for the background.

Speaking of SU!, I just placed my "must-place-an-order-to-remain-a-demo" order last night, and I must say that I'm really excited to get my package! I got a couple of punches, more paper, and some sets, too. Love getting "happy mail"! Which reminds me, I just got my very own Clip-it-Up, and I LOOOOVVVVEEE it, too!!! I'll take some pix later of it. I feel like a retail store - it's awesome! Definitely a must-have for all of your MFT sets you're going to get! ;)

Well, I think that about wraps this one up. Make sure that you check out the links to all of the other MFT Design Team (<-- here) members' blogs and galleries. And remember that you can get ALL of these sets (5 of them) on Oct. 1st for $65!!! I'll be back soon with more things for you to check out! Also, there are some SUPER exciting things coming down the pike, so you won't want to miss a day!!! TRUST ME! Sorry again for the super long post! {On second thought, no I'm not! You're free to skip what you want!!! (wink)} xox,

One More Thing for Today...

I totally forgot to mention one of the best parts of the October MFT release! Kim is so sweet, she's offering a Take 5 special this month, for the budget minded of you, so that you can receive ALL FIVE new sets for only $65!!! There will be a special button on the website to order them this way! Check it out on the 1st!

Bananas About You!

Make sure that you don't miss this post, for your chance (or chances) to win your very OWN My Favorite Things stamp set, and MORE!!!This is Day 2 of the MFT previews for the October 1st FIVE set release! The stamp set that I'm showing you today is called It's a Jungle Out There, and it's adorable! I love the little lady in safari attire checking out the animals! And you'll see that the animals themselves are too cute, too!

For anyone who's checked out the stamps sets that MFT offers, it's easy to see that it's a company "trademark" for their images to not show people's faces, and I love that! However, I also love when Kim and Christy (the illustrator) get creative with HOW they're not going to show the faces! With the lady in this set, her binoculars cover her face. For the trick or treat children in Fright Night, it's their arms and candy bags. Tomorrow, you'll see another clever way they found to accomplish this! I just love the creativity that they show with each set!

This set has both solid and outline stamps in it, which is great for versatility. I used a combination of SU! ink pads and Copic markers to color the images. I pulled the colors from the PP to get the color combination.

And now here's the scoop...
This set comes with the safari lady (of course!), a lion, an elephant, a giraffe, and a monkey. It also comes with various stamps great for "scene building", like leaves, a branch, a vine, grass (x2), a safari hat, a banana, and 5 adorable coordinating sentiments! It's a great multi-occasion set!

Again, remember to mark your calendar for October 1st! All of these sets are TDF (to die for - I'll add that to my Stampspeak. I already know I'll get questions! LOL), and you won't want to be left out! ;) Click here for the link to the galleries and blogs of all the other DT members!

Meet me back here tomorrow for possibly my favorite new MFT set! ;) (Sorry for the lengthy post! :))

How Sweet, Indeed!

Make sure that you don't miss this post!!! You have up to FOUR chances to win your very own My Favorite Things stamp set, and more!!! :)Welcome to Day 1 of the October MFT previews!!! This first set is one of my favorites, because, well, I get a little excited about chocolate! :) Just kidding. (Kind of.) Anywho, this set is called How Sweet It Is, and is one of the Mini sets to be released on October 1st! If you're anything like me, you're not going to want to be without this set!

Isn't she totally cute sitting there with her bonbons in her flowered armchair!?! I had a lot of fun coloring this image! I used my Prismacolor Pencils for everything, except the shadowing and her skin, for which I used my Copics. The "floor" was paper pieced with a scrap of SU! Loves Me paper. I kept the layout pretty straight forward, but I really like how it turned out.

Now for some set details. There is a total of 7 images, including the main image, 3 sentiments, 2 "supporting" images, and a chocolate chip background image. Not bad for a Mini set, eh!?! For more sneak peeks, make sure that you also check out the blogs and galleries of the other DT members. You can find them all here.

Make sure that you come back tomorrow for a peek at another new set. It's gonna be Wild one! ;)

It's Naptime Nuggets Time!!!

Did ya get a load of all of that eye candy?!? What you're playing for is a chance to win...

1 package of Bazzill Cha Ching Brads!!!
7 yards of May Arts MEGA yummy Sparkly and Light ribbon (1 yard per color), that I received from my last Jody share!!!
AND...
1 brand new My Favorite Things' Setting the Stage stamp set!!!

Here's the why...
CNS (again, that's Confessions of a Naptime Stamper - it'll catch on, I'm sure of it! LOL) has surpassed the 100,000 hit mark, and I'm SO excited!!! This is just a little thank you to all of you who keep coming back to peek in on me!!!

All you need to do is this...
Leave a comment with the answers to these three questions on THIS post...
1. What is your absolute FAVE My Favorite Things stamp set?
2. How many stamp sets does My Favorite Things currently offer?
3. Who is one of the 2 newest My Favorite Things Design Team members?
Only one comment per person please!

But that's not all...
For an EXTRA chance (or more!) to win, create a brand new original My Favorite Things card (or other creation), and post it in a separate comment with your SCS gallery or blog link to THIS post. You may enter a total of 3 cards, just make sure that they're all in separate posts, and that they're all different!!! By doing this, where others will only have one chance to win by answering the three questions above, you could have up to three additional chances to win! The choice is, of course, up to you!

This contest will close at midnight, Sept. 30th, and the winner will be announced on Oct. 1st (also the day of the MFT big release - hmm, coincidence??? ;)) I will randomly pick a winner via random.org. The card entries will not be judged. They only statistically increase the chances of your number being drawn. One more thing, please only play if your mailing address is located in the US or Canada. I apologize for this limitation.

Have fun, and remember, MFT sneak peeks start HERE tomorrow, and the first one is oh so Sweet! ;)

Stay Tuned...

CNS (Confessions of a Naptime Stamper - must add that to my
StampSpeak and More list! LOL) has finally surpassed the 100,000 hit mark! Yeah!!! In fact, Jamie, my downline, just notified me of it, because she was the 100,000th person! Thanks, Jamie! :)

Well, to celebrate, I'll be posting some Naptime Nuggets tomorrow that will surely become some of one lucky person's favorite things!!! You won't want to miss it! I'm still working out the details in my head, so give me till tomorrow! I'm excited! Trust me - it'll be good! ;)

I may be back with a card later, but I'm not sure, since I'm busily stamping up some goodies for MFT's October releases! Previews of those sets will start on Thursday! See you back here soon! :)

Some More Holiday Cheer!

This is going to be quick, 'cause we're about to run out the door, but I wanted to get this up here before it got too late! I used my Lizzie Anne Holiday Cheer and So Swirly sets for this! The layout was inspired by an ad in a magazine (don't remember which one). As you can see, there are tree trunks on these trees! I just cut tiny strips of paper to add them on. Also, what you may not be able to see is the Stickles on the trees and "ground". Looks like snow IRL!

Gotta go - DH is hollerin' at me! LOL Talk more soon!

Boo!

I just got my hot little hands on this adorable set from MFT, called Fright Night, and I love it!!! Those images are so stinking cute! I used this week's Sketch Challenge (142) for this. First one in a LONG time! I enjoy all of the challenges. The time just gets away from me!

I added the cutey little spider, hanging from the silver cord, and the photo corner from It's Elemental. I was going to add a sentiment, as well, but I thought it looked better without it. So, I guess I'll just have to add it on the inside. The image was colored with my Copics.

Hope you're all having a wonderful weekend! I'm hoping to get more stamping done, but we'll see how it goes! Talk to you soon!

Cherry on Top!

This layout is an oldie, but goodie! I think that I originally saw it during Amuse-a-palooza, on a sketch challenge, and I loved it ever since! For this, I used the Craft on Kraft approach with the ice cream scoops, in Regal Rose, and inked the edges of the piece with White Craft. And I actually used my SU! markers to color in the image, as I didn't have Copics that were a close enough match to the pinks! (Gasp! Note to self...get more Copics!) All three of these stamps came from Hambo Stamps. You can check them out here and here.

Haven't done much stampin' lately. Have to put a stop to that! I'm planning my "better-late-then-never-Stampin' Up!-retirement-garage-sale" this Sunday, so I'm going to have my hands full with getting ready for that stuff in the next few days. I have some pre-made stuff to show you, though, in the meantime, so keep checkin' back!

And now it's time to hit the hay! Talk soon!

Naughty or Nice?

I got to stamp! Wohoo! This is one of the new sets from The Cat's Pajamas, Kitty Christmas. I couldn't resist this super cute and "swanky" images!

I used white gel pen on the candy cane to make it red and white. I used my glue pen and Martha Stewart glitter on the hat, and my Starburst pen on the collar. For the mittens, I cut off the tie, so that I could hang them from the silver cord. And I outlined the sentiment with my olive Copic marker for a touch of color. Hope you like it!

Now I'm off to clean up. I don't know about you, but NO mojo flows when my table still has products from the last card on it! I have to "reset" with each project! LOL Talk soon!

Blogger RAK Time!

Okay, yesterday, when I said that I didn't have a card to show you I lied. It was purely unintentional, mind you, but a lie, nonetheless. I have had these two lovely RAKs for a week or two, now, and have yet to post them! What I need to do, is to put them in a more visible area. I sit them on a cute little bookshelf, till I'm ready to take pix and post, but it's a bookshelf that is not in my direct line of sight! So, there they sit, until a day like today, when I look over and say CRAP! Okay, I've digressed...

Take a look at the wonderful RAKs that I received. This first one is from Kelley (sorry I spelled it wrong on the watermark!) Herrick. You can see her blog here. I so love this color combination, and the layout is so cute! And of course, I love the Hambo little ladybug stamp that was used! Thank you, Kelley, for this rockin' card, and for the super sweet note inside! Next time your in my area, stop by and visit! :)
This next card is from, none other than THE Queen Blogger herself, Allison Fillo! She is such a sweetheart, isn't she! I was lucky enough to have been tagged by Allison with a QK Blogger badge, as one of five blogs that she considers to be "click-worthy"! Now, this is saying something coming from a person that is rumored to keep up with over 2,000 blogs a day!!! I told you before, but thank you SO MUCH for that, Allison! You totally made my day!
This card is so stinkin' cute! I love the paper and the little Primas that she used! If you've never checked out her blog (???), and want to see her other lovely creations, and you DO, then click here. But that's not all she offers! Bookmark her site, because she is also a wealth of information on blog candy, tutorials, sketches, links, contests, etc...
Thank you, Allison, for thinking of me! :)Well, I'm going to try to get some stamping done today, and make something I can actually show you!!! Wish me luck!

I Found It!

ETA: I found all of the colors on my first-to-buy list at eP! They have all of them there, as well as the Brilliance Dew Drops. Just in case you "need" them, like I do! ;)

Thanks to my girl, Tracy, I found the Dew Drop/Stampin' Up! comparison chart! Yeah! If you'd like to check it out, you can find it here, on Beate's blog. She did an awesome job! The only thing that I was thinking was that the Aegean Blue might better suit the new Bayou Blue. It wasn't around when she did her super duper chart, back in April. I'm so thankful for this! Thanks, Beate!

Beautiful Girl

Reposted: Published in the Feb., '08 issue of Cards Magazine, pg. 101.Finally, I got a PTI card posted with one of the new sets I bought a few weeks ago! I used my new Dew Drops for this one, in Purple Hydrangea, Spring Pansy, and Aloe Vera, and I was really happy with the coverage for the clear stamps! I'm still collecting the colors, but I need to figure out which ones I want first! Does anyone have a method for that? Stampin' Up! color coordinating list, maybe??? I thought I saw one somewhere, but I can't seem to find it now...

I cut out and elevated one of the flowers for some dimension. The CS is PTI, also, and the ribbon is from Jody's May Arts share. It's a yummy shimmery one, that you have to see IRL for the full effect. For the black, I just used my Black Stazon.

Well, I'm off to the YMCA! Trying to get myself motivated! Maybe my new Rihanna tracks I just downloaded to my iPod will do it!? Anyone staying up late tonight for the big reveal??? I'm thinking about it! The "treat label" set will be mine, for sure. I'll have to see the other three, but I LOVE what Nichole did with that cocoa tin! Talk to you soon!

A Little Cheeper

I had to share another Hambo card with you this morning! Again, I LOVE this sentiment and image together. (Yes, I realize that I say this every time, but it's true! And you can find both stamps at the link above!) I used a simple layout that I adapted from an old Sketch Challenge.

I'll skip the blah, blah, blah today, 'cause I'm in a hurry, but I thought I'd give you something new to look at when you stopped by this morning! (See the Fine Print for all of the deets!)

Many Many Mower

This is a fun "manly" card that I made for Hambo Stamps. I love watercoloring those little images! The sentiment is a little hard to read, but it says "May you have many mower!". :) Love that! I used a CC from a few weeks ago for my color inspiration.

I know that I've not been posting very much lately, but there's a reason for that. I've got lots of projects that I've been working on, but can't show you just yet. I'm sure that I will get better really soon! :)

For those of you who haven't heard, there is going to be FIVE, count them 1, 2, 3, 4, FIVE new sets released next month from My Favorite Things! One of them is a very special set, designed to raise money for a very worthy cause that is near and dear to many of our hearts. Kim, like Gina K, has decided to "give back" a bit, and donate a portion of the proceeds, from the Think Pink set, to breast cancer research. Make sure that you check out Kim's blog for more info on this project. There's even a sneak peek!

And now, I'm off to get some cleaning done, as I've got my MOMS Club Scrap Night here tonight! :) I always need some motivation to do housework! Am I the only one? You'd think the fact that my Dad lives down the road, and loves to "drop by" frequently would be enough. Not so much. ;)

Have a good one, and stop by tomorrow. I'll plan on having something for you! :)

Now's Your Chance!!!

To grab up these totally ROCKIN' sets from Lizzie Anne Designs! Here are a couple cards that I made with one of the new sets, Holiday Cheer - a MUST HAVE for the holiday season! Can you believe I'm actually giving you a two-fer today!?! ;)

Both of these card are made with untraditional colors, and I love that! I don't know about you, but I get real tired of red and green, after a few cards!

This first one is made with one of my favorite card layouts. I fiddled with it for a while, but I really like the end result. The star and sentiment is from Holiday Cheer, the swirl is from So Swirly, and the bkgd stars are from In the Background. All of these sets are new releases.

I used my Sakura Stardust pen on the swirls and star swirl, and that shimmer combined with the tiny rhinestones, make this card very sparkley IRL. I also love my reversible ribbon. The next card is also super sparkley IRL! I stamped the snowflakes (from Christmas in the City) on the background with Versamark, and embossed them with Iridescent Ice embossing powder. I added my Stardust pen to the swirls in the hats, as well. It's a very simple layout that would be great for Christmas cards.
Well, I hope that you all have a wonderful week, and make sure you go check out the new Lizzie Anne sets! I'm sure that there's plenty of sets that you "need"! ;) And if you need more enabling, check out the Sketchbook on the LAD site. There's even more motivation there!!! :)

Less than Two More Days!

Till the Lizzie Anne new set release, on Sept. 10th! This is a candle that I altered/decorated with one of the new LAD sets, called Holiday Cheer. It's so much fun and the possibilities with this set for the Holidays are endless!

I used some of my brand spankin' new American Crafts paper and some yummy ribbon, in addition to my coolio stamps. The lower ribbon around the candle is a super yummy wide black velvet that I have wrapped around the holes in the main image piece, and secured to itself with a silver brad. In other words, the brad goes through a double layer of ribbon, and no paper. (Does that make sense???)

The stars were stamped with my Brilliance Starlight Silver Dew Drop and cut out, but the silver's kind of hard to see in the pic. Maybe I'll try again tomorrow, when it's not raining on my head!!! Boy, am I devoted, or what??? (Or maybe just a little nuts!!! :)) The ovals were cut with my CM Cutting System, and the red ribbon is more of my May Arts share stash!

You should smell the candle - it's Sugar Cookie scented! Major yum! Alas, I can only drool over it - a real cookie doesn't fit too well in my Abs Diet plan, or as Yoda would say, a cookie does NOT abs of steel make! However, I do have a cheat meal coming up tonight! We're going out for Thai food with some friends! (Another super duper yum!) :)

Have a great weekend, All. I'll probably be back with some more eye candy for you tomorrow!

Of Course I Do!

How stinking adorable is that sentiment??? I LOVE it! I had so much fun with this card, from the flocking on the bunny tummy to the coloring of the carrot "bunch"!

The card is fairly self-explanatory, so I'll skip the blah, blah, blah, BUT I will tell you that if you decide that that carrot stamp and rabbit stamp are definitely MUST HAVES for you (and why the heck wouldn't you?!?), then head on over to Hambo Stamps RIGHT NOW! Both of those stamps are now on the SALE page for 40% off! No better time to get 'em!

And now, I'm off to try to get some stamping done, before I'm too tired to think about it! I'm going to go find my iPod, and get hyped up! ;) Have a great one!

My First Lizzie Anne Sneak Peek!

Wow, this is a late post! We've been so busy tonight and I was stamping all afternoon (wohoo!), I'm just now able to post something I made today!

This is a card made with one of the upcoming set releases from Lizzie Anne Designs (LAD), called Holiday Cheer. I'm having so much fun creating with this set! It's got such a cool retro feel to it. Make sure you mark your calendar for Sept. 10th, the release date for several new LAD sets! You're going to love 'em!

I stamped the trees and red sentiment on Kraft with Craft ink. I love doing that for a more rustic look! The little stars on top of the trees come from another new set, In the Background. It has all stamps you need to allow you to create your own PP! I inked just one of the tiny stars from the star stamp to make my tree toppers.

The edges of the paper are sponged with White Craft and the white layers are distressed with my Cutter Kit for more aging. I used more May Arts ribbon from Jody's share, and cut the circles with my CM Circle Cutting System.

Well, I'm off to bed! Tomorrow will bring a Hambo card! See you then!

A Day Late

No, it's not what you think. ;) I was planning on posting this card yesterday, but there was a small problem with that, in that, I hadn't made it yet! I don't know about you, but this weekend seemed like a whirlwind to me! Last week I was thinking - "Ooh, a three-day weekend with the hubby home! I'll be sure to get a lot of stamping done!". Well, truth be told, I DID. Just not as much as I would have liked. It was just too busy.

I knew exactly what I wanted to do with this card, though, and last night I was finally able to execute it. I went for a girly girl look, since it's for a Bridal Shower, and I was stoked to finally able to use some of that AC paper that I've been hording! :) I also used some of that yummy May Arts ribbon that I got in Jody's share, so this was a fun card to make!

This week, MFT is sponsoring the card sketch, over at CPS, and this is their sketch of the week. Make sure you head on over there, if you've never been the site! They're QUITE the source of inspiration!

I, of course, wanted to use the new stamp set from MFT, Shower Time, as well. This one is FULL of possibilities - I just love it! The tiny flowers can be added for such a sweet design element, like on the circle punched sentiment on this card and the scallop punched main image on my Bridal Shower paint can.

Well, I'm off to a MOMS Club meeting! I plan to have some Lizzie Anne on tap for you tomorrow, so stay tuned!!!

"Without You...

I wouldn't have a leg to stand on!" I love this Hambo sentiment and Flamingo! Too cute!

This is a card that I had made a while back (August, I think), and I forgot to post! That rarely happens! Usually I'm struggling to get cards made and posted! LOL Well, I must have Hambo on the brain, because I just completed several cards for them, that I will post throughout the month. I had so much fun making them too! They're such great stamps to color!

The flamingo was stamped on Shimmer Paper, and colored with Copics. The sentiment was stamped with White Stazon on a Transparency. I used my Marvy punches for the oval.

Well, I'm off to the beach! Hope you're all having a fun and safe Labor Day! Tomorrow should bring another MFT card, using the new Shower Time set! Did you get YOURS yet??? What are you waiting for??? Huh, huh??? ;)
