Easter Gift Box with Pattern

I could think of a few little ones (and big ones, too!) who would appreciate a box like this in their Easter Basket, what about you? :) This was a super fun project, built primarily around these Hershey's Sticks and my new set of soon-to-be-released Hanna Stamps! Can you see the cutey little fence around the bottom of the box? This is a close-up of the bunny main image. This set is slated to be released this Friday, along with a super "cool" Hanna set, Route 66. I colored him with Copics, then cut him out with my Spellbinders. Can you see the polka dot embossed white paper on the belly band? I did that with one of my BRAND NEW Cuttlebug folders, that I just got from eP today!!! Yeah! :) I also received (and used) my new Snowflake Glimmer Mist. You can maybe see it if you click on the above pic.

This is the pattern that I quickly drew up for this project. A couple of the edges got cut off when I cropped it, but the piece you need to cut is 7 3/4 x 8 1/2. The only part you cut off is the top and bottom (little rectangle) pieces of the 1/2 inch scored strip - hope that makes sense.

Please, just remember that this pattern (because people really do this) is not to be used for magazine or contest submissions, ONLY for personal use. There's more info on this on my sidebar, under the heading Copyright. Thanks for your consideration on this matter. If you can't see the dimensions, then you should be able to click on the pic, and enlarge it. Otherwise, email me for it!

I hope that you have fun with this, and leave a comment here with your link when you do! I'd love to see your projects! Tomorrow should bring an A Muse card, so I'll see you back here then!

K

You Brighten My Days

Have I mentioned how completely in love with Elzybells I am??? I think that they are some of THE cutest images EVER! This is one that I liked on Lauren's blog a while back, before the recent Friendship release. It was a much larger version, because she had gotten it from the UK, but it was still cute. Well, when they released this image in the smaller version, from the NA division, I immediately plopped it in my "cart"! LOL I got several more, including a couple from today's release, too, so you'll be seeing lots more of them!!! (Assuming you keep coming back, but we won't talk about that! ;)

I paper pieced her dress and colored her with my Copics. The little flowers are embossed, though it's hard to see in the pic. The embossing and punching was done with two punches from EK.

Well, now I'm off to the park with some friends. I'll be back tomorrow with something new!

Once Upon a Time

Here's the other shaker card that I made a few days ago with my "coin bubbles" and my Lizzie Anne set, Once Upon a Time. This one has that shimmery fluffy stuff in it, to look like fairy dust. Like last time, I used my Spellbinders dies and SU! 1 3/8 punch to create the window for the "bubble". The other shaker can be found here.

And now I'm off for the day. I've got lots to do, and I'm already behind schedule! LOL Be back soon!

Good Gossip

This is the sketch that I promised you yesterday! I made this card several days ago, and soon I'll show you another card that I made with this sketch, too. I think it's quick and easy, but still packs a punch! This is a 5 in. sq. card, but you can adapt it to any size square or even a standard A2 size.

The Bella stamp is one of my newer ones, and I love it because you can use it for so many sentiments. Which brings me to the sentiment, and that comes from MFT's Twisted Sentiment set. There's a secret link (CLICK HERE) to the MFT website page (so not to offend the unsuspecting shopper - you'll see what I mean if you click on the above link...), where this is offered. You have to check it out. Trust me, this is the "tamest" one of the bunch! LOL
Well, that's about it for now! Make sure if you try the sketch that you leave a comment with a link to this post, so I can check it out! I'd LOVE to see what you do with it! Oh, and if you post the picture to SCS, then add ked3 to the keyword section, too. That way I can't miss it! :)

Have a wonderful rest of the weekend, and make sure to make it stampy! ;) Till tomorrow...

You Warm My Heart

This is the little Valentine that I made for my sweet little boy, Wyatt. He absolutely warms my heart, and then some. I don't know what we'd do without him!

I used the new My Punny Valentine and Borders and Corners Circles , from PTI, for this card. I also used this week's color challenge, over on SCS. The body of the sheep is punched out of an embossed piece of PTI white CS. The legs and head were stamped with Brilliance Graphite, right on the card base, for simplicity. The circles from the background were stamped with SU! Turq., and the card edges were inked with Versamagic Cloud White. Ribbon is from American Crafts.

Thanks for checking in this morning! I hope to have a sketch for you tomorrow, so make sure that you check back in then to get a bit of inspiration to get your week going! :)

But One Day I'll Be the Queen!

Isn't this image the cutest?!? It's from one of the new Lizzie Anne sets, Once Upon a Time. She was so totally fun to color! The white "frame" is from a sheet of Basic Gray rub-ons. Sorry for the weird "cloudy" look that these last couple of LAD cards have had. Must have been some odd lighting.

Well, I'm going to skip the blah, blah, blah today, because I've got to hit the sack! Who else out there stayed up for the PTI release??? Whatcha get??? I'll tell you this, there WILL be an egg box or two in my future! LOL I'll see you back here tomorrow. I've got a cutey little PTI card that I made for Wyatt's Valentine to show you! Until then...

Nuts about You

This is a little Valentine gift that I made for my Hubby. We did our "celebration" last night, and he took me out for a yummy and romantic Italian dinner. Tonight, we will "switch", and we'll watch our friends' children while THEY go out! It's a nice system!

Anywho, back to the tin... I know that you've seen these before (and I've got more, so you'll KEEP seeing them! LOL), but what I like about THIS one is the rub-on fancy rectangle. It perfectly frames the image, while you're still able to see through it to your cutey nuggets! It's from Basic Gray.

I used the colors from the ribbon as my "inspiration": Caramel, "Jumbo Java", and "Sea Breeze". It's from May Arts. Stamps are from PTI : My Punny Valentine and Limitless Labels. Oh, and I masked his little "hand" to stamp my heard (Rocket Red DD), and I sponged the circle with Sea Breeze. I think that that about covers it, so no Fine Print today. As always, if you've got a question, just email me! :)

Now I'm off to a Valentine party! See you tomorrow with the LAD card I told you I'd show you today! ;)

Hey Chick!

I found these cute sticky notes in Target's Dollar Spot, and thought that the tulip would look pretty cute with this new stamp set from MFT, Eggstra Special Easter. Now, I'm sure that there's a million patterns out there for these Post-It covers, but this is the one that I came up with...

I cut my Lilac paper to 7 1/2 x 3 1/4 - it's a little different for this one because of the white scallop
edge, but that's what I started out with. Then I scored the Lilac strip at 1, 1 3/8, 4 3/8, and 4 3/4. I wrapped some ribbon around the opening cover and a velcro dot to keep it closed. The rest is self-explanatory!

I think it turned out pretty cute, and I'll probably make more of them. Of course it helps when you can buy the notes that match the set! LOL This would make a cute Easter basket "stuffer"!

Well, thanks for lookin'! I'll be back soon with some more LAD! Till then, have a Happy Valentine's Day Eve! ;)

Dragon Tails

Quick post today... This is a card from the new Lizzie Anne set, Once Upon a Time, and I'm in LOVE with it!!! All of the images are so stinking cute! This dragon is one of my favorites! You have to click on the picture to get a better view of him. His wings have clear Stardust pen on them to give them a little sparkle, too! The castle image in the background is also from the set.

Now, I'm off to get some things done! I'll be back soon with a cute little quick and easy MFT project! TTYS! :)

A Shaker, an Award, and a Moose

This is one of the Riley stamps from Hanna Stamps that I just inked up. Kristi was kind enough to send us these green beads, and I found these super cool (Yes, Mimi, I know I could make my own, but...) coin holders (for scrapbooks) while I was up in OH, so I thought that I could put the two together and make a cute little Riley shaker.

It's actually the first one that I've ever done, and it was pretty easy, so I did another one with some Lizzie Anne stamps, but that's for another day. ;) I used my Spellbinders for the frame, along with my SU! square punch.
Also, I wanted to thank Holly McMillen and Frances Byrne for nominating me for the E for Excellence Award. You Ladies ROCK, so it means a lot coming from you two! :) Now, I'm supposed to nominate some people, but I can't possibly choose from my lengthy GReader list just a few blogs, and I don't want to leave anyone out, so I'm going to decline on the nominating. (Yeah, I know. I'm a wuss. :))

Anywho, that's about all for now! Tomorrow should bring a Lizzie Anne card. See you then!

Let it Snow (And a Sketch!)

This is the last of my Lizzie Anne Catalog cards, and it's probably my favorite. This is one of my favorite color combinations, so I was very happy with this card. It uses the set Christmas in the City.

As you can see, I've included the sketch for this card. I particularly liked the fact that you can let the embossing shine in that large panel, or show off some of that hoarded patterned paper. :)

Just like last time, if you decide to try this sketch, PLEASE let me know about it! I want to see them, so leave a comment in this thread with your link! Also, if/when you upload them to SCS, add "ked2" to the keyword section. That way, I'm sure to see it!

Tomorrow should bring a fun little Riley card. See you then!

Sow the Seeds of Love

Happy Saturday, All! I've got another Bella card to show you today, that features a Hanna Stamps' sentiment from Things Hanna Would Say. I got this Veggiebella as a RAK from some kind soul from the SCS Wish RAK forum months ago, and just recently got around to coloring her, and last night, I finally got her onto a card!

Am I the ONLY one who's NOT at CHA right now??? It's killing me not to be shmoozing around with everyone up there! Stampfest, last year, gave me a LITTLE taste of how it could be, and now I know I'm seriously missing out! LOL Oh well, there's always Chicago... ;)

Well, that's about all I have for you. I have been doing a little stampin', so stay tuned, because I've got stuff lined up all week, including a sketch! Till then...

How Clean Is YOUR House???

I LOVE this stamp set from Hanna Stamps - Domestic Goddess!!! Check out all of the images in this set at the above link, if you haven't already! There are SO many possibilities!

This is a 3 1/4 x 6 1/2 in. card, and it works so well for this tall and thin Hanna. My favorite part of this card, though, has to be the bucket of cleaning supplies! What a cute, but very realistic image!

Okay, enough gushing over the set! I got my color inspiration from the Cutie Pie paper in the SU! catty. I didn't buy any, but I still like the CC. Oh, and there is Fruit Punch Stickles on her slippers for a "little" glam!

Well, that's about it for this post. Not sure what tomorrow will bring, so come back and find out with me! LOL :)

Goin' to the Chapel and We're Gonna Get Ma-a-aried...

This is another Lizzie Anne card that will be featured in their new catalog. It was a quick and easy card that was fun to make, using Gettin' Hitched and So Swirly. The bkgd is Bazzill Bling, so it's nice and shimmery. This card looks prettier IRL.

So we had a lot of fun at the MFT Release Party last night! We were having loads of fun with the Twisted Sentiments stamp set, and learning a few new things about some of our DT members...ahem... All in good fun, though - I think!?! ;)

Okay, Folks, the next card that you should see on this blog should be one from Hanna Stamps' Domestic Goddess set. I've been dying to use it, and I think that today's the day. Have a stampy day yourself, and I'll see you back here real soon!

MFTeaser Numero Dos

I made this card this afternoon, and I can't say that I'm 100% thrilled with it, but thought I'd still post it, since I figured you all might still appreciate the preview! LOL I think it's the ribbon (of all things) that's throwing me off. Anywho...

This MFT set is called Serenity Now. I paper pieced her outfit with Ginger Blossom paper (SU!), colored her with Copics, and cut out the image with my Spellbinders Rectangle dies. The flowers are Primas. Brad is from Creative Cafe, and ribbon and ink are from SU! (Ruby Red). Paper is from SU! (Guava) and Papertrey Ink. And tool kit is from Stampin' Up!

Well, the Release Party starts in just a few minutes, so I'll see you over there! And if I don't, I'll see you back here soon! Good Night!

xox,
Kirsten

My First MFTeaser (for this month, anyways:))!

Is this not the cutest image ever!?! I had so much fun coloring that egg! For this card, I used this week's SC (162) for my inspiration. I LOVE when I'm able to play along with a challenge on THE DAY OF the challenge! It makes me feel all "on top" of things! LOL I'm still way behind on my DT projects, but I'll get there.
*
As you can see, I'm feeling a bit better right now - the evenings seem to hit me worse, for some reason. Anywho, I'll keep this post quick, because I've got a little monkey whom I promised a new puzzle, who is patiently waiting on me (he's busily making "noodles" with his playdough) to finish this post.
*
Have a great Hump Day, and later I'll be back with another MFT preview card. Remember that tonight is the release party over on SCS, so maybe I'll catch one or two of you over there! :) Here's all the deets for you again, if you missed one of my last posts...

My Heart's a Flutter

Hi All! No "new" cards to post, but I DID get the go-ahead to post a few LAD cards that will be featured in their upcoming catalog! I'll stretch them out a bit, to keep you coming back for more! ;)

I AM feeling a bit better, and I was able to get SOMETHING done last night, though it was a commissioned project that you've already seen, so nothing postable! Nevertheless, something to cross off my (what feels like) ENORMOUS list!

Thanks for all of your get well wishes! I appreciate every one. :)

And now I'm off to play with my little guy. I've got high hopes for Naptime, so I'll let you know how it goes! :) Have a great day!

Poor Me

I'm here, but, sadly, I've nothing to show you today. I'm still feeling pretty crappy, and though I am planning to brave work again today, I've not had ANY energy to stamp or be creative. :( Remember all of those stamps that I told you I've recently aquired? Well, each day they sit here, staring me in the face, taunting me. I keep thinking to myself, "maybe tomorrow". Here's hoping...

In the meantime, here's some info for you that you'll be sure to want to get on your calendar...

Still Dreaming

Okay, I know that I promised you a Lizzie Anne card today, but I made an executive decision, and posted this card, instead. :) This is another of the Elzybell cards that I made, post-Christmas, this year, in order to play with her! NOW, I've got some NEW designs that I'm dying to play with...along with, let's see, the new TCP Cowboys and Indians sets, PTI sets (from the LAST release!), AND gobs of DT stamps!!! I'm drowning in rubber (and acrylic :)), but I love it! ;)

Thanks to all of you who sent me well wishes! I'm feeling a little better, but could definitely be better than this! LOL I'm really hoping to be able to "create" today, as I've got TONS to do! Wish me luck!

I just now learned that Kristi, from Hanna Stamps, due to the overwhelming response to the new set (Domestic Goddess) and Riley stamps, has decided to release them...wait for it...NOW!!! Go check them out HERE!!!

Geesh! And I've not even had the chance to get most of those goodies all inky yet! I'd better get feeling better, so that I can get on that! Bad stamper!

Now, what are you still reading this for??? Get to clickin'! ;)

I Just Forgot to Tell You I Remembered!

This is another Hambo card that I wanted to share with you before month's end. I used a CPS sketch from a few weeks back for my inspiration. Unfortunately, the way that the pic was taken covers up some of the sentiment. For me, it's SO TRUE for so many of the birthday cards that I send. It's shameful, really. Anyways, it says "I didn't forget your special day... I just forgot to tell you I remembered!"

Well, this is going to be a short post, because I still feel pretty crappy, and I'm also trying to get some cleaning done, while I'm remotely in the mood to do it! LOL Tomorrow will bring you a Lizzie Anne card. Hopefully, then I'll also be in the mood to sit and "create"! Till then...

Congrats, Linda! Shoot me an email with your home addy, and I'll get your stuff mailed right out to you!

Thanks to everyone who shared a little bit of their "non-stamping" selves with me! I read every comment, and it looks like MANY of you are also avid readers and bakers, in your "spare" time. That was a lot of fun!

Keep checking in, because there's going to be another SUPER COOL Nugget package up for grabs at the 200,000 mark! (Just got to figure out what it is! ;))

I should have a card for you a bit later...

White Christmas

Hello!!! I'm home after a very busy and fun trip to Ohio! I was afraid that I wouldn't be able to post while I was gone, so I left you with the (below post - make sure to check it out!) Naptime Nuggets. Thanks to those of you who have inquired as to my well-being, over the past few days! Feels good to be missed!!! :) I DID make it to a couple scrapbook stores, and picked up just a COUPLE of things. I HATED to not get some paper, but I didn't want it to wrinkle on the plane. SO, did I miss anything?!?

For this card, I stamped a little early Christmas card with one of my new Elzybells. (I have some new ones from the latest release, but I'll have to wait to get them inky!) This is a 4 1/4 square card. You'll have to take my word for it on this one that she's way cuter IRL. You can't see any of the shimmer from the pic!

Well, I'm off to watch some Curious George with my little guy. We're both sick (I'm SO never going back to Ohio in winter - we've lost our "hardiness"! LOL), so we're going to take it easy tonight.

Remember, comments close tonight at midnight EST (even if it allows you to make one), and I'll announce the winner tomorrow.

These are the goodies that I cooked up for you this time around. These Nuggets were meant to celebrate the 150,000 mark here on CNS, but time got away from me, and now we're nearly at 165,000! LOL

Up for grabs is...
1. The December issue of Cards Magazine - TONS of awesome ideas in this $20 magazine!
2. Three Studio G Clear Stamp Sets
3. One package of Scenic Route Paper Co. Chipboard in Aqua
4. One Doodle Bug Reversible Self-Healing Double Sided Craft Mat
5. One coordinating Doodle Bug Designs Craft Knife
6. AND the card pictured below (featured in this post)!
All you need to do is leave a comment to THIS POST, and tell me what you love to do in your spare time BESIDES stamping! Easy peasy! I'm looking forward to learning a little more about you guys! :)

I'll cut off the comments at midnight next Tuesday, and I will draw a RANDOM number with http://www.random.org/ on Wednesday, Jan. 30th. Please, only one comment per person, and only play if you live in the US or Canada. Thank you!

Well, I think that's about it! Happy commenting! I'll be back soon with a new card!

Get Well Soon

Thank you for sharing in our excitement (see the last post)! We're super psyched about it! Now, I get to only work one day a week - wohoo! I'm going to try to stay on there for a while, since I really like the job and other nurses, but I'm glad to downgrade a bit. I really missed my Wyatt time.

Anywho, this is the Bella card that I mentioned before. I'm really happy with how it turned out. This was an image that some sweet person sent to me from SCS, but I might have to get that actual stamp, since I've only got one more of them!!! :)

The decorative edging came from a MSL (Martha Stewart Living) punch, and the flower is from Creative Cafe. Miss Bella's thermometer is colored with Silver Stardust pen. See the "Fine Print" for more details.

Well, we will soon be playing in the snow, so we're pretty excited about that and visiting all of our family and friends, too! I know that I promised you some Naptime Nuggets, but I had NO time to photograph it all! I'm going to make it a mission, though, to get it done before we leave! So, stay tuned!

Till next time...

I'll be back with more stampy things later today, but I just HAD to get on here and shout from the roof tops that our prayers have been answered and Dave was just offered a job! Wohoo! He's at work right now, as a matter of fact! And we don't even have to move! Hallelujah! :)

For You

This is Lizzie Anne card that I made for SCS's Sketch Challenge 157. I wish the pic was brighter, but you get the general idea! The red flowers are covered with Stickles for some extra sparkle.

Lately, I've been getting lots of questions about supplies and what I've been using on my projects. I have been getting lazy with the "Fine Print", and assuming that you're all seasoned stampers! Well, I'm going to try to be better with that, starting with this post! :)

NOTE: I have NO problems AT ALL with answering questions, but please, if you have something to ask and you don't have a Google Account with an attached email, or you don't want to sign in (so that I can find you!), then just email me. Otherwise, unless I address it in a post, I'm not able to answer your question, I want to be able to do that. :)

SO, for this card...
Stamps are all from Lizzie Anne Designs. The rectangles were cut and embossed with my Cuttlebug and my Spellbinders Nestabilities dies. The Happy Birthday embossed paper was also created with my Cuttlebug and my Happy Birthday folder. The button is from Creative Cafe, ribbon from Stampin' Up!. The image was colored with Copic Markers, and the rhinestones came from A Muse. All cardstock and ink, other than the white cardstock (from Papertrey Ink - best white CS ever!) and the Palette Noir used to stamp the purse image (a must for Copic markers) is from Stampin' Up!

Well, I think that's about it! Have a great Tuesday, and I'll see you back here tomorrow with another Bella card AND some Naptime Nuggets!

Elzybell Love

I wish that you all could see this card IRL, because it's much more shimmery and pretty than it is in this picture. I do believe that I'm going to find that these Elzybell girls are addictive. I SO love her!!! I've already placed my order for four more of them, from the new Friendship release. Problem is, I've probably got to wait till I get back from Ohio to get them all good and inky. (Ok, that sounded less weird in my head. But am I going to change it? No.) :)

Yes, we're going to be going out of town in a few days to visit friends and family in Columbus. Maybe I'll even get to hit the Archivers!!! Ooh, and there's an awesome quilt store (The Glass Thimble) there, too! I'm getting more excited by the minute!!! :) Anyone know of any good stamp stores up in those parts? I grew up there, but I wasn't into stamping then.

Anywho, back to the card. There is Clear Stardust pen on her wings, and Silver Stardust pen on the stars and halo. The silver paper is Bazzill Bling, so that's shimmery, too. The acrylic stars are from Heidi Swapp, and I outlined the edge of them with my purple Copic marker for some added "depth". It just makes them a bit LESS translucent. The sentiment is from Verve Visual's Starlight Starbright.

Well, I hope that you have a wonderful Monday. I'll be working for most of it, but I will get off at a decent time, so it's all good. See you tomorrow with a Lizzie Anne card.

Just a Mouse-Click Away!

This is my early Friday post. I work at the BCD (see StampSpeak list for definition, if you don't remember ;)) tomorrow morning, and I won't have time to post anything, so I thought I'd put it up early. This is Clickabella, and she is SO me. Well, if I wore a pearl necklace and heals (yes, I call those heals. I live in Florida, remember?) while sitting at the computer. :)

She is colored with Copics, and like I told you in my previous post, this is the Bali Breeze PP from SU!. Oh, and I punched a really LONG "word window" strip by cutting the Pumpkin to 3/8ths in. thick, and sticking the "I'm" end into the punch, while the "away!" end lays over the top of the punch. (Email me if that's terribly confusing to you.) Ribbon is May Arts.

Well, that's about all! I've not been feeling well the past couple of days, so hopefully this weekend I'll feel like stamping again! Oh, and TGIF! (A little early, if you're reading this on Thursday! ;))

xox,
Kirsten

You, However, Do.

I really like the Hambo vulture with this sentiment, but I had a hard time trying to make it look good on this card! I guess that I shouldn't have tried to make it fit on such a "girly, pretty" card! LOL Oh well, I still like it! :)

There's a weird glare on the pic, for some reason? If you can't see the sentiment, it says "Some things never grow old! You, however, do." Too funny. That stamp is also from Hambo Stamps.

Did I mention how much I love the new SU! patterned paper??? You'll be seeing it on more cards to come, too, so don't you worry! ;) LOL In fact, I think that I'll be posting a Bella card tomorrow with the same Bali Breeze PP! You've not seen this one yet on my blog, but it's one of my all-time faves. It's very ME. Can you guess which one it is???

Well, I guess that's about it for today! Catch up with you tomorrow!

Change in Schedule

I know that I promised you a Hambo card, but when I saw this sketch, I knew I had to make this Bella card! I'll post THAT card tomorrow. (Gotta keep you comin' back for more, right!? ;))

This is for SC159, and it's ALSO for all of you stampy nurses out there, because YOU ALL ROCK! I know that my MFT DT has several nurses on it, and I'm sure that there's many more of you out there in Stampland. So, when I saw this Bella, I knew I had to have her, and I even dressed her like me (kinda - I'd NEVER be caught dead in a sleeveless scrub top, and I wear Crocs, not tennis shoes. :)) with the purple scrub pants and stethoscope! LOL I just wish the black flower showed up a bit more in the pic.

The card was a lot of fun, and I've been coloring Bellas lately, so expect to see several more cards with them! I'm on a mission to use every stamp AT LEAST once! Care to join me in my efforts!? It's one of my New Year's "Intentions". (I heard that term somewhere, but don't remember where! It's very applicable, though, don't you think!? :))

Oh, and the sentiment come from Hanna Stamps' Things Hanna Would Say. I love the small size of those sentiments! The embossing on the purple is from the Cuttlebug "You" folder.

Alright, I'm off to go watch some "preschool on TV" with my little monkey. Till tomorrow...

Little Valentine

This is a 4 1/4 in. sq. card made with MFT's newest release, Be Mine. I used the SU! chipboard piece as a template (like I've seen others do), and added the pink layer b/w the red and white for some more detail. The black heart is elevated for some more dimension. And lastly, I used the "I'm Sweet on You!" sentiment to create a background.

Sorry the pic is a little fuzzy. Not sure what was going on that day (I made it a couple of weeks ago), but you get the drift! It's cuter IRL. :)

Speaking of "IRL", that is one of those acronyms that I use in normal conversation, along with WTF (what the frip, when I say it :)), BTW, and BFF. LOL I'm curious. What "computer/text speak" do YOU use with your family and friends. Let me know! :)

Well, I haven't forgotten about the blog candy I promised you for 150,000, but at the rate I'm going, I might as well wait for the 175,000 mark! LOL Actually, I just haven't figured out what to offer! Still working on that!

See you tomorrow! It should bring a Hambo card! You KNOW you love those sentiments! I've got another good one for you. ;) Till then...

Meet Riley

This is a sample of one of the newest sets to hit Hanna Stamps! In fact, he's not due to be released till Feb. 1st! This is Riley Moose! Isn't he adorable!?!

I colored the image with my Copics, and yes, I do realize that Mr. Riley is a bit feminine looking, but never fear. He's comfortable with his sexuality, even though he's wearing pink boots and gloves. :)

This is Jen's Sketch for you to Try (SFYTT) for this week, and I had so much fun with it! Thanks Jen for the great sketch! The papers are the new ones from SU!, Ginger Blossom.

I added some polka dots to the watering can and shovel. The sentiment came from Hanna Stamps' Things Hanna Would Say. Clearly, they're also things that Riley would say! ;)

Well, I hope that you have a good one! We're babysitting a couple of little monkey's tonight, so I'd better run! Till next time...

As Promised...

This is the other part of the "set" that I talked about in my last post. Can anyone guess what this used to be???
Alright, I'll tell ya. It was one of those Cars lunchbox tins that was in the Target Dollar Spot right before Christmas! After I brought it home, I had to wrangle it away from Wyatt, because for some reason he thought it should've been HIS! (Weird, huh?) Well, I just was able to play with it recently, and thought that it would make an adorable gift card holder!

It literally took no time at all to whip this up! I just covered it with a little Bo Bunny paper, added the sentiment "package" (sentiment is from Lizzie Anne!), inked the edge with some Black Stazon, and VOILA! This way, when you give someone a gift card, it feels more like you're actually giving them SOMETHING, and not just a card!

Well, that's about it! Thanks for all of your positive responses about the sketch! It was fun, and I will do more in the future! Now I'm off to go check out those of you who have already linked their cards! Yeah!!! :)

Kirsten

PS Wyatt never even knew that it was missing! ;)

Make a Wish

I know that I told you that I would be showing you a set, but I never got the two things photographed together, so I'll show you the second project tomorrow! I know. I'm a tease. ;)

Well, this is a Kick Stand card, and my card for this week's Sketch Challenge, over on SCS. I used some Bo Bunny paper, and my new circle Spellbinders dies to make this. The sentiment is from Lizzie Anne, and the dots under "wish" were made with my Gunmetal Stickles (thanks Kristi!) I can't take credit for adding the candle idea on this, though. That idea came from my dear friend, Mimi! I had a wonderful afternoon "playing" with her the other day!

I colored the white candle with my red Copic marker to make it match my PP. Ribbon is from SU!, and the "flame" of the sentiment candle is "Stickled", also.

For a quick step-by-step on this card, see this post.

Well, folks, I'm off to bed! Gotta to work in the am, and today was a LONG day! Have a good one, and TGIF! :)

Dibs on Your Organs

I've had my eye on this sentiment over on the Hambo website for, what seems like, forEVer! It cracks me up every time!!! Wait for it... Now read what's on the inside...
If you can't read it, it says "Dibs on your organs!". LOLOL I know it's a little morbid, but I still think it's hilarious!!!

Also, for this card, I've joined every other blogger in Stampland in creating a sketch with my computer. I used my paint program, and after MANY painstaking minutes, I was able to figure it out! LOL
I hope that you find it helpful. PLEASE leave me a comment if you do, and I'll try and make one more often. I don't think I can pin myself to have a "weekly sketch" type of thing, but I'll do my best! (I started off doing the "Card of the Week", but didn't get a whole lot of response, so I sort of fazed it out. This will most likely be more random.) I'd LOVE your feedback!

If you use the sketch, link it here. And if you post it over on SCS, put ked1 (no space) in the keyword section, so that I can easily find it to leave you a comment. :)

Well, that's about it! I hope that you like it! Tomorrow should bring you a little Lizzie Anne birthday set that I think turned out pretty cute. See you then!

I Told You to Think Green!

This is my very first EVER St. Patrick's Day card, so it's only fitting to post it in the second week of January, right! LOL Actually, this is my sneak peek of one of the other MFT sets, Happy Occasions. I found this flocking kit (from Around the Block) in one of my product boxes from Cards, and noticed that it has a hunter green colored flock. Well, what better to play with that on than a four leaf clover, right!?! So, here it is, my flocked clover.

I'm actually pretty happy with my monochromatic card. It is also one of Cindy Haffner's sketches, over in the MFT Member Company Forum on SCS. I think it's MFTSC11. The dotted background comes from MFT's Behind the Scenes set.

I LOVE the little frame featured in this set. I believe it fits the Marvy Jumbo Scallop Square punch (I'll have to double check that), but I used it with my Giga punch, and I like the white space it provides. Also, the negative space inside the frame fits the SU! 1 3/8 square punch perfectly. I also used the 1 1/4 punch for the inner Hunter layer to create a nice mat. The button is from Creative Cafe.

Well, make sure that you head on over to the My Favorite Things Member Company Forum tonight! MFT will be hosting a New Release Cocktail Party tonight from 9-11 pm EASTERN time. There will be sneak peeks, lots of fun and a chance to become MFT’s next Guest Designer. You won't want to miss out on all of the fun!!! Last month was both wild and hilarious! See you there!

Happy Turkey Day

Reposted: This card was published in the November, '07 issue of Cards, pg.17.Yes, you read that right! This is a Thanksgiving card in the beginning of January!!!

I'm just happy that I can finally post this card! Normally, I post it, and then if it's picked up for publication, I remove it, but not this one! I was able to stay patient enough to hold off till it was accepted, and so therefore, it's completely new to you now...well, unless you saw it in the magazine, of course! LOL This was published in the November '07 issue of Cards on page 17, and now it's been a long enough time since then, so I can finally show it to you!!!

The ribbon trick, I thought, was kind of cool! I really wanted to use this AC 1 in wide brown polka dot ribbon, but no matter how I put it on there, it took over the card - it was just too big. So, I got out my Sticky Strip, and put it where I wanted the ribbon to be. Then I rolled the ribbon into a tube, and stuck it down. Now it is less "intrusive", and adds dimension!

I made the photo corner with my Marvy Giga Scallop Square punch and paper trimmer with a coordinating "rust-like" AC color paper. I, then, spritzed and sponged the PP with some Soft Sky, to bring it out a bit more from the main image, and I stamped the sentiment on the transparency with my White Stazon.

Tomorrow brings another MFT card, but it card will be a sneak peek from one of the soon to be released sets! Think green! ;) So I'll see you back here then!

Wool You Be Mine?

Okay, how stinking cute is that sentiment with these sheep?!? This is the first sneak peek that I have for you for MFT's 1/9 Release. This set is called Punny Farm, and the possibilities for this set are endless! Included in this set is 5 phrases, 7 animal sounds, the "headless lady" with a hat, and SEVERAL animals!

I used the MFTSC12 sketch that Cindy Haffner cooked up for us to make it nice and easy on me! Click on the link above for all of the sketches. They are different from the normal SCS ones, if you didn't know, and Cindy has some great ones!

The sheep were covered in Liquid Applique and Dazzling Diamonds glitter, and then heat set. They look more sparkly IRL then they do in this picture, but you get the drift.

Stay tuned for more MFT sneak peeks! Also, head on over to Lizzie Anne and tell me what new sets are now in your cart! I'm super excited about that release, too! Eek! :)

You Rock!

This is a fun little card that I made with a few of my Lizzie Anne sets, Jolies Fleurs, So Swirly, Just Words II, and Sketched Sentiments. I just love sentiment stamps, and these two sets are perfect for loads of occasions! The swirl set is also a must have, because it can be used with anything!

Take note, because Just Words II isn't released just yet, but will be TOMORROW!!! You can see the full sneak peek today, over on the LAD website!

That's right! Tomorrow is the BIG RELEASE for LAD! You MUST check out the website to see all of the new sets! And have your pen and paper handy, because you're going to have a LIST!!! I know, because I DID! LOL

I used my Copics to color the flower. My inspiration was a piece of May Arts ribbon, that I didn't end up even using! LOL It ended up being just too much, so instead, I used some AC ribbon I recently found at my LSS. The photo corner was just a square that I cut in half diagonally, and notched out. (I made this before I got the SU! punch. :))

Hope you like it! I'll have more LAD cards for you soon, but for tomorrow, you'll have a MFT preview, and I must say that I think it turned out pretty cute. Remember, MFT's release is on Wednesday for 3 new sets! Too much to remember - better write it down. ;)

I'm With You

Today's the Day! Head on over to the Hanna Stamps website and check out the new stamp set, Sweet Celebration. Also, while you're there, take a
look around the website! Kristi's spent a lot of time getting it just right, and there's lots to see!

Well, this is a quick and easy Valentine that I made with the new SU! paper, Ginger Blossom. The scallops were made with the Slit Punch, the ovals were cut with my Spellbinders dies, and the image was colored with Copics. There's also some paper piercing on the bottom.

Well, I'm off to work again! I'm going to take a break tomorrow, but I'll be back on Sunday with a sneak peek of one of the new Lizzie Anne sets! Have a good one!

Greetings from Paradise

This is for all of my "peeps" that are freezing their tails off up North! LOL Just kidding! Don't throw virtual snowballs at me, or anything! It's actually going to be quite cold down here over night. We're going to have to cover up our palm trees with sheets and everything! ;)

Anywho, moving right along... I picked this set up at my LSS a while ago, and just now opened it up! That's one of my New Year's resolutions - to use ALL of my stamps that I own! Is anyone out there with me?!? Of course, with the 4 Design Teams that I'm on, that means a whole-lotta-stampin'-goin'-on!!! And with me working now, we'll have to see how I can work that out! LOL

This is a sketch that Lauren posted on her blog this week, and I had to try it! I used one of my A Muse ovals (the large one) to stamp the sand, then masked it off and sponged the water. Next, I just stamped the main image and sun, colored, and voila! No need to even mask the image because can color right over with the Copics! The PP is Bali Breeze from SU!

Hope you like the card! I'll see you tomorrow with my last Hanna sneak peek! It's a quick and easy Valentine! Till then...

Have Fun on Your Day

This is sneak peek number two for the new Hanna V-Day set! This layout is similar to the one that I did with the Ipodabella a few days ago, but I changed it up just a little bit with the dotted layer. Hanna's dress is paper pieced, and all of the PP came from the new SU! line, Ginger Blossom - SUCH pretty paper! The sentiment is from the Things Hanna Would Say set, found here.

Well, that's about it! Hopefully, every one's fully recovered from Monday by now, and is getting back into the normal swing of things. We've still got to get our tree down, but that probably won't happen till this weekend!

Now, I'm off to work! I'll have a card with Clearly Wordsworth for you tomorrow. It's for all of my "northern" friends freezing their bottoms off this winter! ;)

Hugs and Kisses

Happy 2008!!!

Thought I'd bring in the New Year with a virtual hug to all of you out there that come to read my ramblings! Hugs and kisses to all of you! :)

Now enough of the mushy stuff. This is a 4 1/4 square card that I made with my Hambo Stamps. I colored the main image with Copics, and cut the half circle with my Slit Punch for the button. The rest, I think, is self-explanatory.

Hope you all had a fun and safe New Year last night! We sure did, but we're awfully tired now! And now I'm off to watch a movie with my sleep little goose. See you tomorrow with another Hanna sneak peek!
