This and That

So, of course I had to have the new paper pads and Take Note set from PTI, because that just SCREAMED teacher's gifts to me! This is one little giftie that I made...

My PP is by Jillibean Soup - ain't it cute!? I loved the butterfly theme, so I went with that on my little main image, too. The butterfly stamp is from PTI's With Sympathy set.

And this is how it opens. I finally broke into my package of magnet fasteners by Basic Grey, and put one to good use! Now I'm hooked! :) The butterfly paper is on the top flap that flips up to reveal the two striped overlapping side flaps.

I just rounded the corner at the top of both sides, and kept it simple.

Now we finally get to the paper! LOL
I just stamped the pretty butterflies on the paper with PTI's Summer Sun ink.
**You can't see it in these pix, BUT I also have a bottom flap that folds under the cardboard back of the pad and keeps the paper from falling out the bottom of the case AND enables one to refill the note pad when it runs out!!! I thought that that was pretty ingenious of myself. :)**

Lastly, here's the back. I used PTI's Trademarks set to stamp the back. As you can see, I put tiny strips of striped paper (1/8 inch wide, to be exact) on the sides, too. It's all about the little things, you know! ;)
By the way, you like my cutie new watermark that my new Dirty Dozen buddy, Karen Giron, made me!? I love it! She also made me a new one for the DD gallery, but you'll have to wait for November 15th to see that one! (I know, that's not nice, but I'm not feeling well. ;))
You know, I actually have all of my projects ALREADY posted in there! I feel VERY proud of myself! But I guess whenever you're sick, you have lots of time to post pix on the computer! LOL
That being said, I'm going to "wrap this up". I have a little boy that needs feedin'. Have a great night, and I'll be back soon!

Coffee Anyone?

This is a little gift basket that I made for one of my BFFs. She, like I, is a lover of coffee, and especially coffee with a hearty dose of THE WORLD'S BEST CREAMER EVER, Chocolate Caramel.

So, I'm going to make this quick, as I have NO INTERNET service at home, and I'm stuck in my husband's office trying to get my posts done! LOL What dedication, right! ;) So, here's the break down of the goods...

This is the MFT set, Coffee, Tea?. (It's SO my current MFT fave!) I used it on this 4 1/4 card. I love this sentiment, and it SO totally fits, 'cause since we're living with our BFFs, they've been getting spoiled with homemade gifts from yours truely. Hey, I gotta give 'em to someone, right!? :)

These are a set of jammie pants and below is the thermos.

Okedoke, gotta jet! Hope you enjoyed the little giftie basket. I had fun making it! :) Till later...

...And Now She's Not.

This is a little MFT jar that I altered for this cutie Halloween gift. I made this several weeks ago, but only just now got a chance to edit the pictures! The weekdays are so busy now, and add on the fact that I had a bad cold, and photo editing is an impossibility!

Anywho, I used MFT's new Ghoulish Label Set. I'll just give you the highlights, because I need to get off to bed. :) There is Flower Soft on the topper, as the spider body. The button is from Basic Grey. Ribbon is SU!.

I added some Crystal Effects on the slime to make it dimensional. Don't you love that little eyeball!? So cute...in a creepy sort of way! LOL And what better to put in the box than gummy worms!?
And now I'm off! My bed is calling my name!

Sow Seeds of Love

This is a little address book that I altered for a good friend. She picked up a book like I did (as seen in this post) from our LSS, from Pinecone Press, after seeing the one that I got. I told her if she bought it, I'd alter it! Which brings us to now! It's also a perpetual calendar.

I used MFT's brand spankin' new set (to be released on Wednesday!!), Sow Seeds of Love, from Annie LaPoint. The PP is from Kaiser Craft - I really love the colors in this line. Ribbon is from SU! and the button is from Basic Gray. The edges of the book were painted with white acrylic paint before I Mod Podged the whole thing.

I used Copics to color the image, then added a little Stardust pen to "jazz" it up! I also added some circles around the left circle with a Copic to mimic the PP.

The inside of the book...

And the back... The stamp says "Freshly made just for you", my name, and then "MFT Stamps."
More deets on the release will be provided very soon! Gotta jet! Till later...

Feed Me!!

I have had this recipe box for Lord knows how long! I bought it down in Florida at a scrapbook shop. I think it was made by Bare Elements, but I could be totally wrong. I covered it in PP before we moved, and only just finished it recently. Sadly, I couldn't even tell you who makes the PP. BUT, I CAN tell you that My Favorite Things makes all the stamped images on the top!

I used the Bling 'Bet alphabet and Who's that Grillin' Guy. The extra images on the top are bits and pieces from the PP sticker sheet. Below shows the main image. The hamburgers are elevated and the picture is colored with Copics.

I cut out the letters after stamping them, and added some orange Stickles to the dots.
Below is the inside (duh). I painted the tabs with red acrylic paint, and then I used PTI's Simple Alphabet for the words. I covered the dividers in some older SU! PP.

The whole box is covered in Mod Podge to make it waterproof. Button is from MFT and I used a Bella Dot on the other flower.

Velvet ric rac is from Creative Cafe.
Well, that's about it! Gotta run, so that I can go pick up some dinner! Till later...

Bark Worthy Bites!

Today is release day! MFT is releasing 4 sets tonight, after the release party! This is Puppy Chow, and will be only $9! I thought that I would make a cute little giftie with it and one of these Prima paint cans.

I "borrowed" some of Michelle's puppy treats for this project - Shhhh ;)

How do you like that pretty gingham ribbon?? I love it! Super soft and easy to tie. It's somewhat new, and you can find it HERE.

Here's a close-up of the little puppy. I used Stickles and a rhinestone to create a collar for her. She's colored with Copics. The top is adorned with MFT buttons and another little puppy, like the middle picture. I DID have a close-up of that, but I accidentally deleted it. :( Oh well, you get the drift! :) I thought that the can turned out pretty cute - hope you do too!

Well I gotta run! If you didn't see last night's Blog Hop, make sure you scroll down to see the kitty version of this set! It's just as cute!! Hope to see you tonight at the release party! Till then...

Teachers Rule Giftie

This is a cutie little jar from MFT that I altered with the newer MFT set, Teacher, Teacher. Both can be found at this LINK. These little 16oz jars are sold in sets of 4 for about $14. They make the CUTEST little gifts, and these MFT stamp sets fit perfectly on the front of the jar!! Can't beat that with a stick!!

I filled mine wtih Jolly Ranchers, as you can see. I personalized this one for Wyatt's future Kindergarten teacher. :) (Never too early to start buttering her up! LOL) The blackboard was colored with Copics and embellished with little images from the set. The button is from SU, as is the PP. Ribbon and twine is from PTI.

I just used my Nesties for the scallop circles.
Well, that's about it! Hope you have a good week! We've got some fun things planned. Hopefully, I can also find some time to do some stamping!
Till later...

Enjoy Life!

This is a little giftie that I made for my girl, Amy. She's my chocoholic buddy, so I knew that she'd appreciate these pirouettes. I thought that they'd make a nice addition to a bowl of ice cream! :)

I used LAD's Sweets and Treats stamp set and altered the can. My fave is the topper below...

I just love these little ice cream cones!
And now I'm off! Gots lots to do! Till later...

June Blog Hop!

Welcome to the June Blog Hop! If you haven't started from the beginning, then click HERE to do that. There ARE a couple of surprises along the way! (wink, wink) You'll also get to check out the two brand new MFT Sweet Sixteen members, Barbara and Kathy. Oh, and remember that both of the sets that you will see/have seen on this Hop will be available at midnight tonight!

This is a Starbucks coffee thermos that I recovered from a garage sale this weekend. They are made to be "altered" and that is exactly what I did! I found this Around the Block PP in my stash that is all about traveling and "enjoying the journey" and I thought that it would be perfect for this! I just slipped the PP inside the thermos where it will be kept dry from washing and then set to the Flopsey on the outside!

I tried to get the Flopsey on the inside, but with the flowers on the dimensional ears, there was 4 layers of CS there, and it just wouldn't fit! I figure that the recipient (or myself ;)) could either wash carefully, or remove the outer layers when it's time to clean out the coffee.

This is I Need Coffee Flopsey. Ain't she cute!? I cut off her fuzzy slippers because I didn't figure it fit with the travel theme, but they are quite cute, too!

Here's a pic of the whole mug. I really like these things! I may have to get more for Father's Day gifts!!

And here's a pic of the little sentiment tag. I used some SU! ribbon and a Creative Cafe tag. For the flowers on Flopsey's ears, I used a Fiscars punch and added some A Muse Twinkle Stickers.
Well, that's about it for my part of the Hop. To continue on, click HERE and go check out Susie! I know that you're gonna LOVE what she has in store for you!
I have another card for you for later that I made with one of the other June sets. Till then!

Birthdays ROCK!

This is a jumbo paperclip that I altered to be a gift card holder. I love these new images from MFT! This set is called The Poppies, and it's this month's release from Stephanie Fizer. When I saw it, I immediately thought iTunes gift card!!

Well, I had this paperclip just sitting around, so I thought that I could alter it for a cutie little gift. The paper is some MME, and I also added some velvet scallop ribbon from Creative Cafe, that I glitzed up with some Stickles.

Below is the close-up of the image...

I colored it with Copics, and added some embellies from Stamping Bella and some Primas. I also added some silver cord and a BG button to the flowers.

Again, this set is available now on the website at the ink above!

Now for a personal update....

I've been slacking on my stamping responsibilities lately, and here's why - we're SO stinking busy AND I can't for the life of me find the one and only cord that enables my computer to connect to my camera! I treasure that thing, because I'm not able to use anything else - it's not just an ordinary USB cord, and my computer doesn't have slots for memory cards. SO, today I had to use Dave's computer to upload the pix by jimmying my memory card into one of the slots (and to get it out, I had to use tweezers!!), and then email them to myself! Ack!

In addition to that, I can't find my photo box!

So, I have to figure out another way that delivers some decent pix, but that doesn't require MONDO amounts of TIME!

In other news, I've passed my test to be hired for the agency, so that I can work as the school nurse at Wyatt's school! That's good news! LOL Dave's still working on our new bathroom, and we're having a blast playing with the horses and kids! I'm currently watching the kiddies play on the Slip and Slide. Good times.

Till later...

Let Your Light Shine

This is a candle that I picked up at the grocery store. I thought that it would look nice all dressed up in In the Parlor, one of the new sets from Lizzie Anne. It would make a nice housewarming gift!

Here's the topper. Have I mentioned that I love reupholstering these cutie chairs!? The button is from Moxie, I believe. I used my trusty Copics for coloring.

And the front of the candle. I just used some SU! ribbon that matched, and voila! :)
Now, I'm off for work. Have a good one, and I'll be back soon! Next week is MFT's next release, and I can't wait to show you what I've been working on for that! ;)

Release Day!

I created this little tag with Lizzie Anne's new Chillin' and Grillin' set (that is NOW available on the website!! AND if you place an order TODAY, you get a FREE pack of French Floral PP!!). I picked this beach bag up at Michael's last Spring, for a similar purpose, but never ended up using it. Well, I did this year, because I still think that it could make a really cute gift for someone coming to visit.

It includes a cute beach towel, flip flops, and of course my favorite sunscreen!

Here's a close up. I've got to say that I'm in love with the tiny little ant! LOL
Well, I'm not all that chatty this morning, so I'll wrap this up! :) It IS now official about us moving to Ohio, though. We had our renters sign on a contract yesterday for a year, and it looks like May 18th is the big day. Alas, the beginning of a new chapter of our lives...
Till later...

Life is the Berries

Morning All! I've got a giftie to show you today. This is one of my homemade strawberry jam jars that I made back in November. It turned out oh-so-yummy, I must say. Well, anyways, when I first saw this set from Lizzie Anne, I knew I had to make a cutie tag for one of my jars!

The set is called Tutti Fruiti. The fabric is a remnant I had from my stash. Ribbon is from PTI. The button is from Creative Cafe, and I used Nesties for the circle.

Well, that's about it! I have to go give my guys a kiss before the run out the door to go fishing! Till later!

You Rock My World

Okay, I know that I said that I had a MFT card to show you today, but I never got a chance to take the pic, and this one's all edited and ready to go! :) This was made with a new LAD set, School Days. Inside the over sized mug is an apple stress ball, an apple pen, and lots of yummy chocolate truffles.

Here's a close-up of the tag. I sponged the edges of the white with Antique Linen ink. The "A+++" was stamped with white craft and I used the MSL punch for the apple. I also used PTI and SU! ribbon with a Creative Cafe button.
This was a nice quick and easy project that would be easily duplicatable, and I like how it turned out. :)
Now I'm off! Have a good one, and I'll be back soon with another project!

Lizzie Anne Sneak Peek: So Much Love

This is a little set that I had fun making the other day, using the FS challenge for this week (JulieHRR) for the card, and altering this little playing card set. The new LAD set (to be released this Friday) is called So Much Love, and it's now one of my favorite V-Day sets - it's SO cute!

I was going to add something else to this card, but everything I tried took away from the clean-ness of it, so I left it alone. It's nice to do a CAS (clean and simple) card once in a while! Here's Julie's card that I CASEd.

I took these pix at night, and even though I have a light box, I still really need the natural light to get really nice pictures. Oh well...
Here's the playing card box. I covered it in some Bazzill paper and black velvet ribbon, and froo-frooed up the top. The flower punch is from EK, and the Dots are from Stamping Bella.

And here's the open box. Hope you likey! Tomorrow, I have another Tea Time card. It will also be release day, so don't forget to check out all of the cutie new sets!
Till then...

Lizzie Anne Sneak Peek: Tea Time

This is the first of three days of LAD sneak peeks, all culminating to the release on Friday the 9th! This cutie set is called Tea Time. It is a buildable set for tea lovers, and probably coffee lovers alike! I love the images, but the sentiments are too cute, too! I've used two of them for this set.

I couldn't resist creating a little box full of Celestial Seasonings (or is it Seasons? I can't remember! LOL) chamomile tea bags. The box ended up being 3x3x4, and it fits the bags perfectly! It opens at the top.
I used PTI paper and some May Arts ribbon. The background stamp is from LAD's In the Background, and I stamped it in white Craft ink. For the circles, I used my Marvy punches, and used a Cuttlebug tag die for the sentiment.

Below is the matching card. It is a 3x3, and can you believe that that is the first time I've ever made one that size! LOL I used that In the Background stamp again, and I'm so going to use it again soon - I love those overlapping circles!
I used some PTI ribbon and a scallop rectangle Nestie die. The images were colored with Watercolor Crayons...HA! Just KIDDING - I used my Copics, as usual. Did I get cha?!? Huh? Huh? ;)

Well, that's about it! Tomorrow, I'll have another cutie peek for you, so come back soon, ya hear?! :)
