You're a Good Apple and some news...

This is a card that slipped through the cracks, and was just rediscovered this morning! I've been doing some more stamping - 10 projects yesterday, actually - in an effort to get "ahead of the game" before we move! It's just one of the many things on my "list". It did feel good to accomplish so much, though!

I used LAD's Tutti Fruiti set and one of Lauren's older sketches for this. (Her blinkie is on my sidebar.) The PP is from LAD (too) and the buttons are Basic Grey. Used my Nesties for the main image and the ribbon is SU!.

So, I guess that it's somewhat official. We're moving to Ohio for at least a year to give this new opportunity for Dave a go, and we'll see what happens after that. We found a renter for our house that we trust, which in this market, we HAVE to take as a sign! We're moving in a month. It's not going to be easy, because, well, I'm not going to have a stamp room... need I say more?! But I think that it could be a really good thing for us, even if I am going to miss FL, and our life here, terribly. Change is a part of life, I guess...

Well, I guess that's enough for today. Have a good one!

Get Well Soon, Ellie!

This is one of the new MFT sets that were released last week, Night Night Ellie. Ain't she cute!? I paired her up with one of my newer PTI sets and Lauren's SSC #22.

The color combo is Lemon Tart, Melon Berry, and Raspberry Fizz. I used my Cuttlebug on the yellow layer and Copics for the image. I drew in the little dots on her jammie shirt with my white gel pen.

The ribbon is from Doodlebug (I think), and buttons are from Basic Grey. I also used a Bella Dot on the flower center.

Now I'm off to get ready for work! Have a good Monday, and I'll be back soon!

Time for a Saturday Sketch!

Wow, I've been in total crafting mode lately. I've officially emerged from my slump and I'm finding the best of both worlds - involving Wyatt in my crafting time! It's been awesome!

Today, I finished a superhero quilt top that I started last night (it wasn't that difficult of a pattern), and I'm just waiting on one of my BFFs to go up to the quilt store with me to find some backing to finish it up! Wyatt can't wait! He LOVES superheros (this one has Batman and Spiderman in it), and I can hardly keep his hands off of it long enough to sew it! LOL That makes me happy! :)

Yesterday, I also made a cute "Nappy Bag" - pattern and fabric by Amy Butler. I'm really happy with how it turned out. I also just happened to finish this card! I kept it basic, but I really just like how it turned out. Largely because of Lauren's uber cool sketch. Check it out!

I used Lizzie Anne's School Days set and PTI's paper. Ribbon is from SU! and the button is from Creative Cafe.

Here's the rest of the sketch team, so you can check out their take on the sketch...

Saturday Sketch Time!

This is my card for this week's SSC! I decided to treat myself for all of my recent hardwork and get a couple of PTI sets, and I thought that there was no time like the present to use them! You can find Lauren's sketch on her blog, here.

I used the new Background Basics: Retro, newer Forest Friends, and not-so-new Polka Dot Basics. The color combo is Summer Sunrise, Pure Poppy, Black, and New Leaf. The punches are Marvy, and the scallop punch is Fiscars. Ribbon is Creative Imaginations.

Now I'm off to try and get some more fun stuff done before Naptime is over! Check out the rest of the sketch team at the following links...

Saturday Sketch Time, Baby!

Good Morning! I was finally able to get some stamping done yesterday, and I must say that it felt good! :) This is one of four cards that I got done. AND...I actually got some quilting done, as well! LOL I was having a little craft-fest!!

I wanted to say a big THANK YOU to everyone who emailed and left comments regarding my last post! We're doing good. It's depressing, but I know that things will turn around eventually. I also know that many of you are in the same boat. My prayers are with you as well. We're not starving, and we're lucky that I have a job that's so flexible. I was even able to sign a bonus contract for "Season". It's just an adjustment, and I hate not knowing what's next, as far as Dave and the possibility of relocation goes. But I firmly believe that whatever will happen is meant to happen. Sigh...I guess it's a lesson in patience. :)

Anywho, this card is for Lauren's SSC24 that was posted last week. This week is a pick-your-favorite week, so you can choose any of her past sketches to play along. Since I've been out of the game for pretty much the last month and a half, I have several to pick from that I haven't even done yet. I hope to catch up soon.

I used LAD's Things That Go for this (and two others) card. I popped up the plane and used white gel pen for the windows. There's also clear Spica on the cloud and sun. The sentiment is from LAD's High Hellos - one of my fave LAD sets!

Saturday Sketch and a Tattoo!

For some reason, I struggled a bit with this sketch of Lauren's, but overall, I'm happy with the card. I used Lizzie Anne's Love Tattoo for the main image, and I've got to say that I'm loving it even more, now that I'm seeing it in COLOR! I think it's uber cool looking - what do you think?

I used BG's Ambrosia PP again - can you tell it's one of my new faves?! I love the cool colors in it. I can always tell how much I love a PP line when I don't want to put away the matching Copics! LOL (Same is true with Urban Prairie :)). Buttons are BG, too.

Ribbon is SU! and Marvy punches were used for the circles. I used my Scor-Pal for the score lines - in lieu of another piece of CS. I just couldn't get that to work, and I think this image works better with more white space.

So, I guess that's about it! Give some love to the other sketch girls at these links...

Saturday Sketch and New LAD!

I must say that I'm really happy with how this card turned out. I used Lauren's sketch (found here) and combined Lizzie Anne's So Much Love with this Basic Grey (Urban Prairie) PP. I think this might be Dave's Valentine's Day card - we'll have to see...

I colored the birdies with Copics and punched the hearts with my Marvy Mega punch. The main image heart is that linen vellum that PTI carries, so it's a little transparent.

I hope that you like it! Make sure that you check out the other girls at these links...

Saturday Sketch Time! (and a Secret!) ;)

Betcha thought I forgot, huh!? :) Well, not this time, Sistah (or Brotha)! I think I'm going to be back on track for my SSCs for a while. This is Lauren's mytimess18, and you can find her card here.

I used TCP's cutie cowboy stamps that I LOVE. Those penguins are PERFECT for those little squares. The PP is some older Crate Paper that I had in my stash. Ribbon is from SU!, as are the star punches.

Here's the rest of the SSC girls for you, don't miss them!

Make a Wish!

This is my SSC make-up card from a couple of weeks ago! LOL I wanted to play with one of my newer sets of AAS, and I thought that it would perfect with this sketch. To see Lauren's post, click here.

I used some Eva paper from BG, rub-ons and brads from SU!, Copics, and ribbon from PTI.

I'm going to keep this post short, but stop by tomorrow, and I'll have an MFT card for you! Till later!

For a Gracious Hostess

I tried Lauren's My Timeless Templates for the first time, and I'm so glad that I did! Since I had so much fun with this free one, I went ahead and purchased two more! I can't wait to play with them for some of my Christmas gifties - and I need to be working on them, like NOW! LOL

For this Stocking Stuffer, though, I used some AC paper and Real Red cardstock. The white "ribbon" is an idea that I got from Melissa Phillips. I just Cuttlebugged the red pieces, added some faux stitching, AC ribbon, and a little Cuttlebug tag with a PTI sentiment from Mixed Messages. I used my markers to ink it up in the different colors.I also had to make a little card to go with it, using another aDORable TCP image, colored with Copics. The sketch is one of Beate's more recent ones. I needed something quick and cute, and I think it did the trick! The cardstock is Glorious Green - my least favorite color in every month BUT December! :)

There is a tiny piece of thread on that penguin on the right - bugs me, but I'm not retaking the pic! LOL I filled the stocking with these little "present" chocolates. I'm heading out to a cookie party tonight, and I hope that Sherree likes her little giftie!

Come back tomorrow, because I'll have something for ya! Till later...

SCS Time - Finally!

Okay, so I'm a bit behind on my SSCs, but I've got a bunch of things made and waiting to be posted, including my missing SSCs from the past two weeks! I love Lauren's sketches, and look forward to them, but as you know, time has to permit. Well, I've been getting quite stampy lately, and so I'm excited to show you what all I've been doing. Baby steps, though. ;)

For today, I have a card with an ADORABLE The Cat's Pajamas image (the sentiment is from TCP's Deck the Hall) for this week's SSC. You can find Lauren's card, as well as her sketch right HERE.

I used some AC PP for my color inspiration. The rubber circle is from Doodlebug. The image is colored with Copic markers. I also used some chunky "snow flakes" for some sparkle.Image close-up. I just can't get enough of these penguins...you'll see! :)

Well, that's it for now. I'm still up to my elbows in Christmas projects. I'll show them all here as I get them done and I have time. I know my posting is not as regular as in the past, but I'm doing the best that I can in this busy season. I know you all KWIM! LOL

From Our Home to Yours

This is my card for Lauren's SSC for this week. I'm going to keep it brief, but make sure that you check out her card and sketch here.

I used my Imaginisce PP, my LAD set, Holiday Lane, Copics, my Rangers white pen, Bella BonBons, my Nesties, and my MSL punch. Oh and the little ribbon piece is from SU!.

I had fun with this sketch! Hope you give it try! Make sure that you also check out these girls for some inspiration...

Spread your Wings (SSC)

This is another late night post, so I'll keep it brief. This is Lauren's sketch for this week! You can find it and her card right here.

I used PTI stamps (Out on a Limb, Birds of a Feather), ink, and CS for this. The punch is MSL.

This is kind of like a micro story, in that the first picture (bottom) show the two birds coming together to their nest with the two eggs. The top picture shows the nest with one egg and a bird flying away like he's "spreading his wings" to leave the nest. Maybe I'm trying to get too deep for a greeting card. I don't know- I'm too tired for reason! LOL

Anywho, there are other girls who do Lauren's SSC every week, so check them out, too. Here's their links...

Saturday Sketch Time! (Sorry So Late!)

This is a card that I made today for this weeks SSC. I used LAD's new PP and one of their newer sets, Holiday Lane, to make this. There is lots of Liquid Applique on the image, too, to make it nice and dimensional. I used Copics to color, and the ribbon is from AC.

Check out Lauren's sketch HERE. Also, check out the rest of the sketch girls at these links...

I'm posting this late, because I only just made the card! This week has been so NUTS! Between TBall, work, and a BILLION Halloween activities, we have barely been home, and when we were it was no good time to stamp! I'm hoping to get some eye candy done today, though, since MFT's release is coming up in just a coupla days!!!

Now I have to run. I have tons of people begging me for Wyatt's pix from the past week! :) Till later...

Saturday Sketch Challenge!

This is my card for Lauren's SSC for this week. Did I mention that I heart this Urban Prairie PP very much!? Love this one with the little bees here and there across the paper. I needed to use the Honey Bee set, from PTI, with this paper and this sketch. I like how it turned out. :)

I also used PTI ribbon and BG buttons with this. I adore these colors! I'm so drawn to soft blues, olive greens, and teals all the time! The sentiment is stamped with White Craft (SU!), and it's from the Honey Bees Sentiments set.

And now I'm off. I'm not feeling that well, and feel like just closing my eyes. Make sure that you check out these links, for their take on the sketch...

Yo - Where My Mojo???

As promised, here is my card for this week's Saturday Sketch Challenge. So, with this card as simple as it is, I won't tell you how long it took me to come up with it... And I even had a sketch!

I won't lie. It's been a while since I've been in my stamp room, so you can imagine that my mojo has gone out to lunch. But I anticipate it's return any day now, so never fear! ;)

This card was made with Lizzie Anne stamps - Superhero Single and Out of this World (for the blue star trail). I colored the little guy with Copics and cut him out. The embossing was done with Nesties, and the star punch is from SU!. The button is Creative Cafe and the stitching was done with Doodlebug rub-ons.

Happy WCMD!

This is another card that I made for MFT's newly released stamp set, Window Shopping! I love that set! This is also my card for Lauren's SSC, found here. I thought that this set was perfect for the sketch! I loved paper piecing these boots, too!

So, I'm not going to blather on and on. It's late Friday night when I'm posting this and I've got another post to write! The card is pretty self-explanatory, but email me if you've got questions. The PP is Cosmo Cricket. :)

It's Saturday Sketch Time!

For this week's card, I used my new Pink Cat Studio set. I love these kitties, and I'm not even a cat person! I also love this sketch. You can find it on Lauren's blog, right HERE.

I squeezing in a quick post, because it's a quarter after midnight, and I'm dead tired. We've been having much fun with Dave's cousins, so I've not had much computer time. I've been beading my fingers to the bone, though! I love how quickly pretty jewelry comes together! Quicker than cards, even - well, quicker than "I" make cards! LOL

I used Cosmo Cricket paper, Copics, and some circle punches on this. Ribbon is PTI, and the tag punch came from SU!.

And now I'm off to bed, but before I go, I want to list the other girls on Lauren's sketch team. Feel free to click away for more inspiration! Till later...

Trick or Treat

This is my sample for this weeks SSC, over on Lauren's blog. I used my PTI set, Spooky Sweets II for this, and some Imaginisce PP. You can check out Lauren's card and her sketch HERE.

This is another card that I putzed around for a while on! Geesh, I hate when that happens!

The deets are pretty straightforward, so I'll skip most of the bla, bla, bla. I'll just say that the brad comes from Imaginisce, also, and the purple scallop circle was made with my Nesties. The stamping in the center of it was made with a stamp from PTI's Borders and Corners Circles set.

And now I'm off! Make sure that you check out these girls, for their take on the sketch...
