July Release Blog Hop!

Welcome to the MFT July release Blog Hop! If you're catching this mid-stream, then make sure that you click on THIS LINK to start from the beginning! You won't want to miss anything!

I usually have a Flopsey for my Hop card, but since there isn't one for this release, I figured that a cutie kitty would work. They "hop", right!? :)

This is a little label set, called Purrfect Treats, that is meant to fit the adorable MFT squared jars, found HERE. I thought that I would make it a bit more versatile on this card. I used the "purrfect" sentiment from this set, but I also grabbed the "you made my day" sentiment, from the Essential Sentiments set.

The paper is from K&Company, buttons are from MFT, ribbon is unknown, and the flower is a Prima. Copics were used to color the kitty, and her collar was made with Platinum Stickles. Did you notice the little paw prints on the PP? I thought that they were cute. :)

So, now it's time to fly on over to Miss Susie Q, to see what she has for you. I'm sure that you'll love it! Click HERE to head to her blog! But before you go, here's some important info about tomorrow's release...

When I Get Stuck

This is a Father's Day card that I made for my Dad last week with some PTI stamps, Forest Friends and Fresh Alphabet. The PP is from SU, buttons are from MFT, and ribbon is from PTI. Corner punch is from SU, as well.

And for a close-up of the image... I love this little hedgie!
Welp, that's about it! I'm off to get a shower. TTYL!

Teachers Rule Giftie

This is a cutie little jar from MFT that I altered with the newer MFT set, Teacher, Teacher. Both can be found at this LINK. These little 16oz jars are sold in sets of 4 for about $14. They make the CUTEST little gifts, and these MFT stamp sets fit perfectly on the front of the jar!! Can't beat that with a stick!!

I filled mine wtih Jolly Ranchers, as you can see. I personalized this one for Wyatt's future Kindergarten teacher. :) (Never too early to start buttering her up! LOL) The blackboard was colored with Copics and embellished with little images from the set. The button is from SU, as is the PP. Ribbon and twine is from PTI.

I just used my Nesties for the scallop circles.
Well, that's about it! Hope you have a good week! We've got some fun things planned. Hopefully, I can also find some time to do some stamping!
Till later...

Enjoy Life!

This is a little giftie that I made for my girl, Amy. She's my chocoholic buddy, so I knew that she'd appreciate these pirouettes. I thought that they'd make a nice addition to a bowl of ice cream! :)

I used LAD's Sweets and Treats stamp set and altered the can. My fave is the topper below...

I just love these little ice cream cones!
And now I'm off! Gots lots to do! Till later...

One in a Million

Sorry to make this short and sweet, but I'm in a rush. Have a good one!!

BBQ Time!

This is a 3 1/4 x 6 1/2 LAD card that I made with their cutie Chillin' and Grillin' set. I used some BG PP and a couple of the smaller images, and had fun with the pretty colors! I thought that this made a cute and simple BBQ invite that would be fairly easy to duplicate.

The edge was punched with my Fiscars Threading Water punch. Images were, of course, colored with Copics.

I'll be back with some more LAD soon. Till then!

Eat More Cake!

This is the last of the cards that I made for TCP (and one that I meant to post last month!). I really enjoyed making this card and did so for my Hubby. Then I thought that it would work better for a friend of mine who LOVES cake (cough, Amy, cough). BUT, I didn't give it to EITHER one. I'm so stinking bad at sending (or even giving) cards out!! Isn't that terrible! I actually ended up selling it to one of my friends here in Ohio! Bad stamper.

Anywho, I used some BG PP and PTI ribbon. I paper pieced the balloon and colored with Copics the rest of the image. The button is also BG and the star is Heidi Swapp.

Well that's about it for this card. I SO loved playing with all of the TCP stamps, and I know that I will play more later with them. Alma is so wonderful and I love her images. Thanks so much, Alma, for asking me to play along with the team and be SWANKY!!! :)

Till later...

Moveable Feast

This is a little diddy that I made with one of the June MFT releases, Let's Picnic! I LOVE the little ants in this set! How cute are they!!

I paper pieced the main image with some K&Company PP and colored the rest with my Copics. Ribbon is from PTI and buttons are BG. I love all of the summery colors!

I think I'm finally getting my groove back! I spent a day this weekend and made THREE projects! I haven't done that for months! It felt SO good.

Well, I don't have time to chat. I'm off to help with the kids! TTYL!! :)

June Blog Hop!

Welcome to the June Blog Hop! If you haven't started from the beginning, then click HERE to do that. There ARE a couple of surprises along the way! (wink, wink) You'll also get to check out the two brand new MFT Sweet Sixteen members, Barbara and Kathy. Oh, and remember that both of the sets that you will see/have seen on this Hop will be available at midnight tonight!

This is a Starbucks coffee thermos that I recovered from a garage sale this weekend. They are made to be "altered" and that is exactly what I did! I found this Around the Block PP in my stash that is all about traveling and "enjoying the journey" and I thought that it would be perfect for this! I just slipped the PP inside the thermos where it will be kept dry from washing and then set to the Flopsey on the outside!

I tried to get the Flopsey on the inside, but with the flowers on the dimensional ears, there was 4 layers of CS there, and it just wouldn't fit! I figure that the recipient (or myself ;)) could either wash carefully, or remove the outer layers when it's time to clean out the coffee.

This is I Need Coffee Flopsey. Ain't she cute!? I cut off her fuzzy slippers because I didn't figure it fit with the travel theme, but they are quite cute, too!

Here's a pic of the whole mug. I really like these things! I may have to get more for Father's Day gifts!!

And here's a pic of the little sentiment tag. I used some SU! ribbon and a Creative Cafe tag. For the flowers on Flopsey's ears, I used a Fiscars punch and added some A Muse Twinkle Stickers.
Well, that's about it for my part of the Hop. To continue on, click HERE and go check out Susie! I know that you're gonna LOVE what she has in store for you!
I have another card for you for later that I made with one of the other June sets. Till then!

MFTeaser: Rainy Day Friends

Ain't she just cute in her little Chatterbox raincoat!? I'm also very partial to frogs, so this new set is a winner for me! It's called Rainy Day Friends, and it will be available through MFT tonight at midnight (or tomorrow morning - however you want to look at it!), along with a cutie new Flopsey!

I've colored her with Copics and paper pieced the rest. I added some details to the images with my white gel pen, and finished off the card with some BG buttons and some PTI ribbon.

Make sure that you tune in tonight for the mid-month Blog Hop! I'll be featuring a Flopsey project that you'll just BOUNCE over. :) You should start the Hop HERE, and then continue along through the blogs, for 2 chances to win some Blog Candy!! It starts at 10pm EST, so be there or be square! ;)

On a personal note - I'm feeling much more like my crafty self because I found a memory card adapter for my computer, so uploading is WAY easier!! Yay!!

Okedoke! I'll be back later! Till then...

Birthdays ROCK!

This is a jumbo paperclip that I altered to be a gift card holder. I love these new images from MFT! This set is called The Poppies, and it's this month's release from Stephanie Fizer. When I saw it, I immediately thought iTunes gift card!!

Well, I had this paperclip just sitting around, so I thought that I could alter it for a cutie little gift. The paper is some MME, and I also added some velvet scallop ribbon from Creative Cafe, that I glitzed up with some Stickles.

Below is the close-up of the image...

I colored it with Copics, and added some embellies from Stamping Bella and some Primas. I also added some silver cord and a BG button to the flowers.

Again, this set is available now on the website at the ink above!

Now for a personal update....

I've been slacking on my stamping responsibilities lately, and here's why - we're SO stinking busy AND I can't for the life of me find the one and only cord that enables my computer to connect to my camera! I treasure that thing, because I'm not able to use anything else - it's not just an ordinary USB cord, and my computer doesn't have slots for memory cards. SO, today I had to use Dave's computer to upload the pix by jimmying my memory card into one of the slots (and to get it out, I had to use tweezers!!), and then email them to myself! Ack!

In addition to that, I can't find my photo box!

So, I have to figure out another way that delivers some decent pix, but that doesn't require MONDO amounts of TIME!

In other news, I've passed my test to be hired for the agency, so that I can work as the school nurse at Wyatt's school! That's good news! LOL Dave's still working on our new bathroom, and we're having a blast playing with the horses and kids! I'm currently watching the kiddies play on the Slip and Slide. Good times.

Till later...

A New Sheriff in Town

This is the third of my TCP cards for the month. I meant to post this days ago, but life seems to keep getting away from me these days! We're staying very busy, but most of yesterday I spent in the new craft room, trying to organize everything! That's right - I've got all of my "toys", but I can't make a thing till it's all in some sort of order...

Anywho, this card was inspired by the cutey Ronnie image, from the Havin' a Pow Wow stamp set. The image was colored with markers, and all the white edges were sponged with some Distress Ink. I'm sorry, I can't remember where the PP came from. Ribbon is SU! and the button is Moxxie.

And now I'm off! Need my coffee! Till later!

Ahoy There, Matey!

This is my card that Alma posted for my TCP Special Guest Designer gig from two weeks ago! I'm a bit behind. So sorry! Soon, I'll post the card from last week, then this Wednesday is my last swanky day. :( You can check out her posts on the Dancing in Pajamas blog HERE.

This is a card that I made with one of my fave TCP sets, Arrgh, Piratey. I also used some Basic Gray paper and a matching button. Ribbon is from PTI.

Well, we're here in Ohio, and we're having a great time! For instance, yesterday, we went to Magic Mountain, and played on the bumper boats and the putt-putt coarse, among other things with my sister and Wyatt's cousins. Then we went out to the barn after dinner and I groomed my first horse! She's so pretty! :) Today, we're going to COSI, which is an uber cool science museum for kids of all ages. I LOVED going there as a kid! Then, at some point, we'll have some sort of cook-out with some extended family.

I still don't have my stamp stuff accessible to me yet, but it will be soon. I'm ITCHING to get my fingers all inky again! Plans are in the works, though, so it won't be long.

So, that's about it! Have a great and safe weekend, and I'll be back soon!

Till later...

Celebrate Yourself

This is Girl's Day In - the new Who's That Girl (WTG) set from MFT! It's available NOW on the website!! Also available now, is the new Chocolate Kiss PP and ribbon! I've used both of those on this card.

The chair is paper pieced - my fave stamping technique, next to coloring! I added some bling to the nail polish bottle, via A Muse Twinkle Stickers. The flower is a Michael's bridal flower that I colored with a Copic and adorned with some more bling.

So, what do you think of this month's release? Which sets are your faves??? I love them all, and I'm not just saying that! LOL

Well, I'm off! Have a wonderful day, and I'll be back soon, but right now I have to think about packing!

Yippee! Guess Who's Swanky!?

Did you read THIS yet??? Alma, from uber cool The Cat's Pajamas, contacted me a couple of months ago, asking me to be her Special Guest Designer for May, and of course I said YES!! I met Alma at Summer CHA last year, and did a lot of "hanging out" with her, along with the MFT team, and we had so much fun!!! Obviously, I also love her stamps and images, as well! Those penguins had me at...well, what sound does a penguin make? I HEART them! They're so stinking cute! Okay, 'nuff about the penguins...

Anywho, I know that it's a little late (or early) for Easter cards, but I just got this set, and I had to use this image! I'm also in a major mushroom phase right now, and so I love the little "extra" elements in this to build little scenes, like the grass, tree, eggs, flowers, etc... So, with this card, I just stamped away, colored, and sponged, and I was really happy with the result. You can find this set, Spring Fling, right HERE.

She'll/I'll post another card next Wednesday, so make sure you're back there/here then! Now I'm off to find more boxes!

May Blog Hop!

Seems I just can't do a Blog HOP without a Flopsey! LOL (If you didn't catch this from the beginning, click HERE so you don't miss anyone!) This is Birthday Flopsey, and don't you think he's just as adorable as can be!? I also used some bits and pieces from Hooga Booga. Both sets are, of course, from MFT, but Flopsey won't be making his appearance on the website till Wednesday (tomorrow) at 10pm, right after the release cocktail party at 9pm!

PP is from BG's Cupcake line. Image is colored with Copics on MFT's new SPLENDIFEROUS paper panels! (They ROCK with Copics! I promise - they're my new FAVE!) Ribbon is from AC, and the button is from Creative Cafe.

And now I must direct you to the next stop on your stampy journey! Click HERE to keep on going, and to check out what Natalie has for you! Have fun!! There's a chance for a pot-o-gold at the end of the Hop, don't miss it!

Till later!

MFTeaser: Snuggle Bunnies

This card was made with one of the new Stephanie Fizer MFT sets, called Snuggle Bunnies. Ain't they cute!? There is also an image of them sitting on the moon, which is totally too adorable to be believed! For the clouds and grass, I also used MFT's Hooga Booga set - love that one!

The patterned paper is from MFT's new paper line, Chocolate Kiss! Everyone loves brown and pink, , and that's exactly what this is! The ribbon and button is also available from MFT! Can I TELL you how much I'm psyched that MFT is now carrying BUTTONS!!!
The pic above shows their cutie tails, complete with Liquid Applique and pink Shimmerz for some sparkle and a touch of color. :)I also painted some Shimmerz on the sentiment.
The MFT monthly Blog Hop is tonight at 10pm! (Yes, a different time then normal.) So, make sure that you "hop" back by here to check it out! And remember, tomorrow is the release party at 9pm with the sets going LIVE at 10pm!
And now I'm off! Till later!

MFTeaser: Owls and Bluebells

(So, after having just now noticed the title of this set, Owls and Bluebells, I realized that I probably colored these flowers the wrong color, but call it artistic license! LOL)

It's that time again! Who's up for some Teasers? This is a Stephanie Fizer set to be released from MFT this Wednesday, along with three other sets! I just love these little owls! I also love the font for the sentiments in this set.

This is a 4 1/4 square card. I used Copics to color the main image and Nesties to cut it out. I also happen to like the color combination. What do you think?

Well, I'm slowly getting more used to the idea of moving, and I'm actually starting to look forward to it. It's going to be difficult, but I feel like it will be worth it in the end. Currently, I'm organizing and throwing out. I figure it will be MUCH easier to pack when I'm not analyzing each thing I'm putting into the box! LOL

Anywho, I'll have another Teaser card for you tomorrow! Till then...

Last In the Parlor Project (...for now ;))

How could you NOT just love this chandelier?? I think it's so pretty! This is a quickie post. Just wanted to make sure I got this last card up here. I really do love this In the Parlor set! So much fun!

I used BG's Eva, PTI's ribbon and CS, Marvy punches, Michael's bridal flowers, BG buttons, and Fiscars edge punch.

Till later!

Let Your Light Shine

This is a candle that I picked up at the grocery store. I thought that it would look nice all dressed up in In the Parlor, one of the new sets from Lizzie Anne. It would make a nice housewarming gift!

Here's the topper. Have I mentioned that I love reupholstering these cutie chairs!? The button is from Moxie, I believe. I used my trusty Copics for coloring.

And the front of the candle. I just used some SU! ribbon that matched, and voila! :)
Now, I'm off for work. Have a good one, and I'll be back soon! Next week is MFT's next release, and I can't wait to show you what I've been working on for that! ;)
